  • Nice unit close to Eagle Lodge

"We've first found this condo on VRBO. However, the unit is managed by Mammoth Reservations. The condo is situated in the Summit complex which has a number of buildings from close to Juniper Resorts up to about half mile away along Meridian Blvd. This unit is in the Huntington building, and in walking distance to the Eagle Lodge and ski lift. To our pleasant surprise, upon arrival, everything was in working order: heating, electric oven, fridge, hot water, tv's, etc. During our stay, we've had a small issue with water dripping from the ceiling in the living room. This seemed to be due to warm temperatures and melting snow on the deck from the unit above. We've called Mammoth Reservations and they promptly sent somebody to inspect. A little bit later, a contractor showed up and confirmed our problem, promising to fix it next day. However, the leaking stoped shortly after, due to lowering temperatures outside and didn't happen again next day, even if it was again a warm day outside. Overall we've been happy with this unit. With one caveat: the ceilings seem to be very thin and noise from the unit above was sometimes annoying. If you are sensitive to noise in the morning and evening, try booking a unit on the second floor. It happens that there was a family in the unit above with a couple young children who obviously didn't care too much about neighbors. Here's the bottom line: Pros: - great location, Winter or Summer - indoors garage - nicely appointed unit, true to pictures on this site Cons: - noise from above - no elevator, steps to climb to first and second levels - no maintenance personnel on site; an emergency after office hours requires a drive to Mammoth Reservations' office to make a call using a phone located outside. Something that MR should fix since the same emergency phone could be located on site, or better provide a phone number to call without the need to drive to the main office."

  • One of the BEST stays in Mammoth in years !

"The owners of unit #317 have done a fantastic job of making this unit one of the best appointed condos at the Summit. The unit has a wonderful "cabin" feel with great beds, games and state of the art media. The location to skiing is absolutely the best....views of eagle run (easy walking distance even for skiers with heavier boots !!) are a high point of this unit. With underground parking, hot tubs and dog friendly amenities.....this unit is a wonderful get away whether winter or summer is your planned vacation. Many thanks to the owners for a job well done. Cheers....."
