  • Cozy little place

"On a whim, we decided to go to Mammoth for my 40th birthday with my family. Jeff's place was available at a decent price so I jumped on it. For the smallish size condo, you get a very well organized and set up place with everything you could possibly need. In fact, the use of space was impressive and made it feel like a bigger place than it was. It was clean, with plenty of towels and linens. It easily sleeps four, but if you're family or don't mind close quarters I'd say it is worth asking the owner if you have an extra adult (the couches are huge). That's the other thing about this place: you get to work directly with the owner, not some management company. Jeff was very accommodating, flexible and responsive (and a super nice guy who we ran into at the jacuzzi). This was especially important for us for check-in and check-out since we were coming up with a 2 year old, and my older parents and sister who don't ski. Only downsides I could think of was that the carpet could use an upgrade and there were a few spots near the edges where the nails holding it down were poking through a bit. Also, the dining chairs and tables could use a little tightening up as they were wobbly (as a toddler father, you notice these things). In summary, this is a homey place with everything you need for a comfortable Mammoth trip, including a wood stove, wifi, the jacuzzi just a few doors down, easy access to Mammoth Mountain (Canyon lodge), etc. If you're looking for luxury, it might not be a fit for you; otherwise it is a very convenient and comfortable place with just about everything you can ask for (we brought up our own coffee grinder but didn't need to!)."

  • Exceeded expectation

"We had a wonderful 3 day weekend at the timber ridge condo. We used the ski-in and ski-out trails and played in the snow and did some sledding in the area above the condo. The condo itself was very clean and extremely well equipped. We cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner and the kitchen was not lacking in any area. The beds were comfy, the hanging racks were perfect for all of our ski clothes and the views from the main floor are breathtaking. The primary heat source is a wood stove, which worked out perfectly because we knew this ahead of time and came prepared to "baby-proof" the area from our 1 year old. The owner was very good at staying in contact and answered all questions in a timely manner."

  • Very clean and well-kept!

"This was our first visit to mammoth and we loved this place. It was very clean and well-kept. The kitchen has everything you need. The beds were comfortable so we actually got a good night's sleep. The building has a pool, jacuzzi, small fitness room, bbq grills, and vending machines on the first floor. We will definitely be staying at this place again on our next visit!"

  • Good value rental in Mammoth.

"This second floor unit was spacious and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and there's plenty of seating at the breakfast bar. We self-catered and there's a Vons supermarket three minutes drive away so it was easy to get supplies. The laundry facilities are in a separate building near the pool, you will need lots of quarters as the machines are coin operated. Having two bathrooms was great as teenage daughter could have her own. Entry instructions worked well. The property is less than a five minute drive from the centre of Mammoth, and as we visited off- season it was pretty quiet. Talking of quiet, bear in mind that you will have neighbours at this property and do expect to hear them and they'll hear you too! Only two issues need attention; the master bed needs repairing as it's very creaky and we couldn't get the PlayStation to work. Overall a good rental in Mammoth."
