  • Spacious condo for multigenerational family; convenient location

"Had a great stay at this condo! We were 6 people, ranging in age from 7 to 75, and there was plenty of room in this comfortable condo. Once my mom had entered the condo (there is one flight of stairs before you enter) she didn't have to use any more stairs; the main floor bedroom and bathroom meant that everything she needed was on the same floor. We and our three kids had more than enough space on the second floor, with two bedrooms, a loft, and a bathroom. The living room was cozy and comfortable, and the kitchen well-equipped. We didn't use the pool or jacuzzi during our stay, but they were a short walk across a (small) parking lot. The manager's office was also directly across the parking lot, and the manager was both friendly and helpful during our stay. Probably the best thing about this condo was the location! There is a lovely playground/park just a very short walk from the condo, which was great for our seven-year old. From the park, there is a trailhead for a nice hike that takes you past a stream. You can also easily walk into Mammoth Village from this same park, with shops and restaurants (we especially liked the Monkey Bar) to explore. Particularly convenient for us was the 24-hour Von's that was about a one-mile drive from the condo; this made meal-preparation easy at it was only a short distance to pick up additional supplies. Driving from the condo was easy, and there are lots of sites to see within an easy drive; while staying at the condo we visitted Hot Creek, Bodie, Mono Lake, Mammoth Adventure Center (with shuttle service to Devil's Postpile, and gondolas to the top of Mammoth Peak), Lake Mary, Twin Lakes; most were within a 20-minute drive, Bodie was the furthest away and took about an hour. We truly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return."

  • Cozy little place

"On a whim, we decided to go to Mammoth for my 40th birthday with my family. Jeff's place was available at a decent price so I jumped on it. For the smallish size condo, you get a very well organized and set up place with everything you could possibly need. In fact, the use of space was impressive and made it feel like a bigger place than it was. It was clean, with plenty of towels and linens. It easily sleeps four, but if you're family or don't mind close quarters I'd say it is worth asking the owner if you have an extra adult (the couches are huge). That's the other thing about this place: you get to work directly with the owner, not some management company. Jeff was very accommodating, flexible and responsive (and a super nice guy who we ran into at the jacuzzi). This was especially important for us for check-in and check-out since we were coming up with a 2 year old, and my older parents and sister who don't ski. Only downsides I could think of was that the carpet could use an upgrade and there were a few spots near the edges where the nails holding it down were poking through a bit. Also, the dining chairs and tables could use a little tightening up as they were wobbly (as a toddler father, you notice these things). In summary, this is a homey place with everything you need for a comfortable Mammoth trip, including a wood stove, wifi, the jacuzzi just a few doors down, easy access to Mammoth Mountain (Canyon lodge), etc. If you're looking for luxury, it might not be a fit for you; otherwise it is a very convenient and comfortable place with just about everything you can ask for (we brought up our own coffee grinder but didn't need to!)."

"Amazing! From the location (in the mountain, amazing view and you can ski in & out), the house (big, spacious, with the best kitchen EVER) to the host Julianne (always so nice and attentive) - I can't even describe how perfect our New Years weekend was. Thank you, thank you so much! I highly recommend the house and will be back soon! It's perfect for families or adults, tons of games and if someone likes to cook, like my sister, you can be sure you will have the best vacation ever!"
