  • Comfortable, clean, attractive, roomy

"We stayed for a few nights and my daughter and her family stayed for over a month while waiting to move into an unfurnished apartment. The house is conveniently located, clean, attractive, with all the comforts of home. The large kitchen is well equipped, the 2 car garage useful, and the beds were comfortable. A nearby park was nice for our 2 year old granddaughter. It was everything we could have asked for. The owner was available for questions and very accommodating with a schedule change. Thank you, Tonia!"

  • Two thumbs way up.

"My husband and I stayed in this charming cottage for two weeks over Christmas. It exceeded expectations. The bed is comfortable, the linens are soft, the kitchen is fully equipped, the furnishings are attractive, and the owners and caretaker were pleasant and helpful. So much better than a hotel. We highly recommend this home and would definitely return."

  • Beautiful Home

"We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, charming home. Walked everywhere and enjoyed many local restaurants. Monica provided us with lots of choices for coffee shops, restaurants and bars. She was a wonderful host and we would love to stay in her home again."

  • Great for Sacramento explorers

"Our family (husband, wife, and two young boys) stayed at Grove and Sally's guest cottage for 5 days. We explored Sacramento and the surrounding areas each day. The cottage is located in Arden-Arcade, which is far enough away from the city to feel "home-y" but close enough that we could commute into Sacramento each day quickly. Arden-Arcade is a lovely neighborhood with higher-end homes and felt very safe coming back to each day. The cottage rental fee each day felt reasonable considering its furnishings - higher-end linens, well-equipped, cement floor (so it felt clean!), newer construction. The colors were energizing and inviting. We appreciated that it was mostly kid-friendly - there were kids' books and toys right by the door when we walked in, and the trundle bed was great for our 4-year old to sleep on. Grove and Sally were welcoming and gracious - Sally welcomed us personally after our first night, and they were gracious to understand when our boy accidentally broke a glass bowl. Our only wisdom for a young family staying is to consider where your young ones might sleep. We made it work having our toddler sleep in a pack-n-play (furnished by the cottage) in the bathroom or in the master each night, but if your little one is a light sleeper the size of the cottage might not work for you."
