  • Awesome House!

"March 20, 2016. We just arrived home from our 2nd stay in this amazing house! We spent the weekend there with a few families from our neighborhood. The house is extremely spacious but even with a large group it amazingly never felt crowded. There are plenty of beds and rooms for everyone if they need privacy. The kids all like to stay in the one large bunkroom off the kitchen, which we now all refer to as the 'orphanage room', in the most endearing way. The kitchen and living areas are great. Lots of appliances, dishes, cups and silverware. There are 2 large kitchen tables so you can feed lots of hungry people all at once. The game room downstairs is a great place to chill. There is a ping pong table and large screen TV. After our day on the slopes on Saturday, we came back to the house and the kids made a big sledding hill. There was so much snow they started at the kitchen window. Everyone had fun playing with the snowshoes and cross country skis. Some of our party did not want to ride the mountain on Sunday but stayed at the cabin and played with all the toys. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in Kirkwood."

  • Yosemite Privacy - peaceful, relaxing, full of nature.

"I'm a stickler for properties being what they are advertised to me. This one did not disappoint. We booked this late in February for a week long trip of hiking to Yosemite in July. The pictures really don't do this place justice. First of all it is private! It is remote (about 27 miles to the park entrance) but there is not a neighbor in site. The only visitors we had each night was a family of turkeys that joined us for breakfast and dinner! Everything in the house was spotless. The back deck was just breathtaking. The view of the mountains and un-obstructed nature with a cool breeze blowing at night made the hot tub and dinner on the back deck an amazingly peaceful experience after a long day of hiking. The trip to Mariposa for groceries and gas was also only 7 miles away. The bed was extremely comfortable in the master. The house also had labels everywhere. We had zero issues with lights, towels, laundry, stereo equipment - everything was idiot proof. The outdoor shower was Awesome! The hot tub after a long day of hiking was awesome. Overall this was a majestic experience and this home made it truly enjoyable."

  • Great Snowcreek condo

"I stayed at this property for ten days in March, with a handful of friends. Our experience couldn't have been better - the condo was better than advertised, and had everything we could've needed, including a gift basket of snacks and wine on the kitchen counter. Carol, the condo's owner, went above and beyond in making our stay in Mammoth as enjoyable as possible. She was very responsive and accommodating to our questions and requests, and gave us a great rundown of things to see and do in the area while we weren't on the ski hill. I would highly recommend staying here, and hope to do so again myself at the next opportunity. It's a great spot with plenty of room for a family or group, and again, we couldn't have been happier with our stay!"

  • Excellent place for large group

"If you have need of accommodations for a large group of people in the Sierra foothills, I don't see how you could do any better than the Jolly Tar. It lives up to its name precisely because it is so clean and well-equipped that it makes your stay there convenient and carefree. Even during the heat wave, the swamp coolers kept it totally comfortable. It also affords a great deal of privacy with its many private bedrooms. The only unusual arrangement is on the lower level where the one bathroom serving the two bedrooms and pull-out couch in the living room in between is a private bath off one of the bedrooms. This necessitates the other guests to tiptoe through a private bedroom to get to the bathroom or go up a spiral staircase to access the bathroom on the main floor above. Honestly, this is a minor issue that would come up only if the downstairs is packed full. We had every bedroom in use, but there were still more bed space and couches. You could easily and comfortably sleep 20 or more. We had dinner for about 25 people one night, and there was enough room in the fridge and all the kitchen amenities needed. There is also plenty of parking on the property. It was absolutely perfect for our reunion group, and I highly recommend it. Thanks so much-- now that we know there's a place that works so well, we hope to come again in another year or two and make it a habit."
