  • Yosemite Privacy - peaceful, relaxing, full of nature.

"I'm a stickler for properties being what they are advertised to me. This one did not disappoint. We booked this late in February for a week long trip of hiking to Yosemite in July. The pictures really don't do this place justice. First of all it is private! It is remote (about 27 miles to the park entrance) but there is not a neighbor in site. The only visitors we had each night was a family of turkeys that joined us for breakfast and dinner! Everything in the house was spotless. The back deck was just breathtaking. The view of the mountains and un-obstructed nature with a cool breeze blowing at night made the hot tub and dinner on the back deck an amazingly peaceful experience after a long day of hiking. The trip to Mariposa for groceries and gas was also only 7 miles away. The bed was extremely comfortable in the master. The house also had labels everywhere. We had zero issues with lights, towels, laundry, stereo equipment - everything was idiot proof. The outdoor shower was Awesome! The hot tub after a long day of hiking was awesome. Overall this was a majestic experience and this home made it truly enjoyable."

  • Super Comfy House

"The house was perfect for two families. The fire was on when we arrived so it was cozy and the two bedrooms with king size beds were perfect....no fighting over the big rooms and the upstairs was perfect for all the children. The place was clean and had everything we needed. It was super close to sugar bowl and Donner ski resorts. It even had sleds for the children. I would definitely consider coming back."

  • Location is superb! Will come back

"The location of the property is its biggest attraction. The convenience is invaluable and saves so much time. On the way out, you just change into ski boots in the first floor locker, put on the skis right outside, and ski down to chair 15. Skiing back in is even faster: before reaching the end of the slope and getting into the lift line, just bear to the right and a small slope leads you right back to where you started. The convenience of the location allows to take comfortable lunch (or bathroom) breaks inside the condo and even a nap if needed. The condo itself is spacious, clean and well maintained. I think calling it luxury is a bit misleading but it's certainly very cozy. The decor is simple and rustic. We are a family of four so the two bedrooms and bathrooms come in very handy. There were two humidifiers but only one works, which we put in the kids room. I wish the other one worked too since the heating made the rooms really dry. The shower of the second bathroom had no shampoo niche or soap bar holder so a shower caddy would have been nice. Wi-fi signals were pretty stable during our stay. The underground parking is another plus. It did snow during our stay. We would have had to scrape the snow from the car had we have to park outside. We cooked most of our meals in the condo and here's what I feel about the kitchen. It's clean and for the most part adequate. It has most of the things needed but also missing a few: the stockpot and bigger frying pan don't have lids, there's no baking pan in the oven, and there's no plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Small table top salt and pepper cans are provided but you will have to bring other seasonings if needed, which I did. I also brought my own Instant Pot electrical pressure cooker and Brita filter pitcher. Except for one stainless steel sauce pan all the pans and pots are all non-stick and scratched (the stock pan is badly scratched), which are inevitable in a rental property. This might be a concern to people who try to avoid coated, non-stick cooking ware. If the owner is to update them my suggestion would be to go stainless steel. Please note that I'm not trying to be picky or complaining here but just want to make notes of the things that potential customers might want to be aware of. Small things like these have in no way affected our experience and the fact that we had a really wonderful ski trip owes a lot to the convenience and comfort that this property provided."
