  • Cozy winter cabin

"We loved this place. It was incredibly comfortable and a beautiful setting. Relaxing on the comfy couches with a fire in the fireplace is what a cabin is all about. And it is very easy access to ski areas. I highly recommend it."

  • Great family getaway

"We had a wonderful family ski holiday, with more snow than we have ever seen. Even with the unexpected weather, the driveway was plowed and we arrived to a warm house. Nanette called to let us know about highway conditions and made sure we were informed. Would definitely recommend it."

  • Great retreat in snow country near superb skiing. Year round retreat as well.

"The owners have created a welcoming cabin for snow lovers of all kinds: with access to the best of cross country skiing in North Tahoe, and other skiing/snowshoe experiences in the winter. Even a sled hill just over a block away. The setting is in the midst of a vital retreat community by the beautiful Serene Lakes, at the Soda Springs exit off Hwy 80. It is just 2 exits west of the stunning Donner Summit, and a 15 minute drive east to downtown Truckee with its appeal for top-rated restaurants and artisan and retail shopping. Close to the Pacific Crest trail for spring/summer and fall hiking too."

  • Beautiful home in the snow (lots of snow)

"This home has so much going for it and the area is beautiful. It is a good size, the open floor plan is nice for a friendly group of people, the open knotty pine ceilings are nice, and having three bathrooms is a plus. Note that only one bedroom is private. Being close to Sugar Bowl and Royal Gorge are a big plus. The kitchen was missing a few key utensils, the upstairs fireplace didn't work, and we thought charging extra for linens was a bit much. There was so much snow outside that we could barely see the house. We'll need to return in the summer to see what the area really looks like."
