  • Ponderosa Pine Sublime

"I had the pleasure of staying in this cabin for a very short two days and definitely plan on returning next year. The cabin is so cozy and comfortable! My son and daughter-in-law were with me and we all enjoyed the very comfortable beds and the cleanliness and quaintness of this adorable cabin. The owner, Robert, was extremely easy to communicate with and readily provided recommendations on things to do in the area. I had several peaceful mornings sitting on the deck with my morning coffee and afternoons with a glass of wine. I was able to make friends with the resident hummingbird who decided I was a safe companion and kept me entertained at his feeder next to the deck. The town of Twain Harte is great and it is within walking distance to the cabin. There are very good restaurants and I was pleasantly surprised to find really good live music at several of them on a Saturday night. All in all this was a perfect short break in a very charming area. I'm looking forward to my next stay. Next time I'm bringing my fishing gear."

  • Cabin getaway

"First and foremost, Eric was responsive and detailed in regards to the cabin. We had 7 adults and 6 children under the age of 9. There is plenty of space in the bedrooms and throughout the house. The game room was a big hit for the kids, horsehoes for the adults, and the 5 min walk to the private lake was a hit by all. Very convenient! We definately look forward to renting this Cabin in the near future again."

  • Relaxation in the Sierra Foothills

"I have arranged week-long family vacations in a half-dozen California & Arizona locations over the years, and Lone Star Lodge is the property we've most enjoyed. Features we appreciated were the large, modern kitchen (since we prepared all of our meals in the home), spacious dining area, private back yard with many seating options, walk-in stone showers, attractive decor, and lake membership. It was so relaxing to sit outside and read a good book, and there are easy-drive options such as Calaveras Big Trees so visit. In many rental properties, because of the construction and layout, once one family member is up in the morning, the entire household is aware of the noise. Not so here - folks were able to sleep late or stay up late without rousing others. We also enjoyed the drive from the central coast, choosing to travel off the main I-5 route through small communities to sample their bakeries, fruit stands, and diners."

  • Great place to stay

"We loved the place. It was big enough for us to sleep, eat and play inside. All things are prepared for cooking. Lots of items that we can use for our activities. We really enjoyed our stay and we wished to stay more. The owner of the property was kind and generous."
