  • Great destination for a group!

"We came here on a group retreat and it was a great destination to have it! The house was well-maintained and there were a perfect amount of amenities to keep us satisfied for the duration of our stay. The area was spacious and big enough to fit our large group of 13 people. Within the vicinity of the house, there were many activities to do such as hiking or going to the lake. In addition, the shops in the town were within walking distance. The owner was helpful and offered suggestions of activities to do within the area as well. I would definitely recommend this, and consider coming back for another vacation."

  • A little gem in the woods

"I like the privacy and autonomy of a home. However since we're just two people, we can only find the rack 'em and stack 'em sleeps 12 kinds of rentals. Casa Bella was the perfect size for us! Ideal for a couple or small family. Not sure about two couples as you'd have to share a shower, but hey, if you really, REALLY like each other, then it might work. The place is casual but very tasteful. This is how I would decorate a home. You know how most rentals have Aunt Jean's old sofa from 1983 that her Afghan hound "Biscuits " used to sleep on? Where you feel if you sit on it you might come up with an unexplainable rash? Not so with Casa Bella! VERY clean, comfortable furniture. You feel like you're at home. Nice, modern kitchen (rare). Love the granite counter. Very practical. Some appliances are a bit older but since we don't cook much up here it was more than enough for us. Bathrooms are simple in a charming lake cabin style, but also modern. Natalie invested in the important things--new toilets, sinks and shower. Comfy mattress. We have back issues and had no problem. Didn't miss the lack of air conditioning either. It gets cool at night and we just opened the gorgeous glass windows in the master at night and were very comfortable. Who comes to Twain Harte to sit inside the house with the windows closed? Natalie is very easy to deal with and responded promptly to my several queries. After signing a pretty straight forward contract (basically a common sense "Please don't take a dump on the sofa" type contract) and paying through Pay Pal we were set. I would highly recommend Casa Bella. A real little gem in the woods. Please note: if you have a four wheel drive, you can ignore this. If you have a four door sedan you will want to turn into the driveway SLOWLY. We drove in like we would at home and got a bouncy surprise. Husband said it made him feel like Matt Damon in "The Martian" trying not to roll the Mars Pathfinder Rover. No harm done but remember the terrain in Twain Harte is not as paved as you might be used to. Drive carefully."

  • Perfectly rustic charm and comfort

"We just returned from a 4-day stay at Pondering Pines Cabin in Twain Harte over the 4th of July weekend, and we had such a wonderful time, it was hard to leave! My husband, my 9-year-old son, and I truly enjoyed the rustic charm of the cabin. You can tell it is such a well-cared-for cabin, and it is beautiful, quaint, and simply elegant. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck each morning and evening in the beautiful surroundings, connecting with the very nice neighbors, and appreciating the comfort of Pondering Pines Cabin. I felt very at home there, and I'm grateful for how clean it was, how easy it was to get there, and how close it was to town and to Twain Harte Lake. We will definitely come back, especially in the winter! We found that it was only a short 20-minute drive to Dodge Ridge and Pinecrest. The Colombo's have definitely created a little sanctuary in the woods with their Pondering Pines Cabin. Robert and Susan have made certain that their guests have a comfortable and inviting stay, and Robert was very easy to work with in planning our stay in Twain Harte. So thank you to the Colombo's for providing such a lovely home-away-from home!"

  • Amazing and Excellent Getaway!

"Lonestar cabin was a wonderful experience. A lot of work was clearly put into this cabin, the movies games and puzzles provided were a very nice touch and provided a very enriching and fun experience. The cabin itself was located very close to the Twain Harte downtown area and was actually within walking distance. In addition, it was located close to many beautiful trails and lovely scenery. Overall this was a great place for me to take my girlfriend and I will most certainly rent again. Thank you Jackie for giving both of us a wonderful weekend out of town and keep up the amazing work!"
