  • Adorable cabin near Yosemite

"The house was well stocked and organized. It had movies, games, cooking supplies, a great oven and sink, plenty of linens and blankets. Everything was labeled and easy to access. I particularly liked how there were hooks everywhere--that came in handy with all of our jackets and things like that. Our kids had a blast playing right outside. Another nice thing is that it was only a short drive to the Toloumne Grove of Sequoias, which was one of our favorite parts of our visit. At night, we saw a million stars. Thanks, Lauren, for letting us stay at the River Cabin!"

  • FANTASTIC deck, wonderful stay, very secluded

"Stayed here with a few friends for a birthday weekend - and LOVED the house. We spent most of the time out on the very large deck. The pictures don't do it justice - it is perched high in the trees (as the name suggests) and quickly became our preferred area to be. We used the barbeque (complete with extra propane and all the tools you would need) and enjoyed using the outdoor table for dining. The amenities were great - complete kitchen (not many condiments/spices though like I've seen in other VRBOs so come prepared if you'll be cooking), plenty of extra towels, pillows, and blankets, and laundry room equipped with detergent. We didn't use the pool table although it was fun to have an extra area to lounge. We had no problems with the wifi and enjoyed watching the Olympics (although cable channels are limited and movie selection is as well, although there are DVDs and some video tapes provided). If staying for a long time or with a large party, you might find the rooms a bit small and crowded. Otherwise the beds were very comfortable. Our other favorite part of the house was the location - only a neighbor on one side and we could barely even tell. The deck is very private and the house is off any main roads and very quiet and peaceful. It is a bit farther from the lake than other houses listed on VRBO, but that was no problem for us. Be warned however - we had to pay $25 per car to enter the Pine Mountain Lake area, a fact I would have liked to know before booking. Fantastic stay overall, would love to come back in the future!!"

  • nice neighborhood, fun things to do

"Great for a family! Comfortable beds after a long day at Yosemite, quiet hilltop with lots of birds. If you need to check in with the office BYOD as the high speed internet isn't."

  • Mountain cottage near Yosemite

"We rented this house for three nights and had a lovely stay. Although the house decor is outdated, everything was very clean, neat and comfortable. The towels and bedding were just like at home, if not better, and the kitchen was well stocked -- much better than other homes I have rented. The house provided a lot of room, so we never felt crowded. It was great having activities such as horseshoe, ping pong and the porch swing. The porch was one of my favorite parts -- so quiet and relaxing. We went to Yosemite from the cottage. The drive was beautiful and not that far. Pine Mountain Lake was nice, but we preferred the national park. Martina was a joy to work with. I felt like I was communicating with a friend -- very responsive and full of good advice."
