  • Great weekend in the cabin in Shaver Lake!

"My sisters and I spent the weekend at this cabin just this past weekend. We liked the look of the cabin, and it was pretty roomy. It was stalked pretty much with everything we needed; we just had to buy the groceries. It was nice that it was fairly close to some restaurants and the lake wasn't very far. We had some questions about where certain things were and was hoping someone would come over to answer any questions. The cabin was fairly clean but we had a few complaints. It was kind of dusty, especially in the closets where we wanted to hang clothes. The rugs in the kitchen were a little dangerous because every time you walked in the kitchen, the rug turned over. They need to be removed or a different type of rug could be used. We needed more newspaper to start the fireplace. Over all, the place was pretty nice."

  • Perfect Location, Lovely Cabin!

"My husband and I stayed for 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend. We were very happy with the cabin. This was our first VRBO experience and Lee made it so care-free and pleasant. We had a couple of telephone chats prior to our arrival and he was able to offer some great tips and ideas for things to do, places to go and status of the weather conditions. We had a great weekend, in no small part to this great location. The cabin is close enough to trail heads and the lakes to enjoy them, far enough away to feel off on our own when at the cabin. We brought our own meals and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and serving up our meals. The cabin is nicely sized for a couple, but with the extra bedroom-loft, we would also have been comfy with another couple along as well. The wood stove was very easy to start and provided more than adequate warmth for the entire cabin during a pretty chilly weekend. We absolutely would rent this cabin again if/when we explore this area of the Sierra further, and we would recommend Lee's cabin if you're looking for a comfortable place to land in this area."

  • Our family reunion at Bass Lake

"My family and I have been renting a cabin at Bass Lake every summer for the past 10 years. (Prior to that we took our family camper or tent camped.....We've been going to Bass Lake since I was a little girl......Elmer!!! may give you a hint for how long!) For the past 10 years our family has been making it a family reunion every summer. We had 27 family members there this year, renting 4 different cabins and celebrating my brother and his wife's 40th wedding anniversary!! I usually use VRBO to find our cabin and this year I chose this adorable cottage. It was the best experience ever. I have to say I was hesitant at first, even though everything about this cabin sounded awesome, it didn't have central air. I'm a freak about air conditioning. I took a chance, and boy I'm glad I did! First of all Janice the owner was soooo amazing to work with. She always answered all my questions right away and was so accommodating. Yes, it was a little warm at times, but we were at the Lake for most of the day and able to cool off at night with the fans and cool evening air. This cabin was the most stocked cabin I've ever stayed in. My only negative thing I could say was the parking. We had 2 cars and a trailer and it was a little snug and tough to get into, but we managed. Overall it was the best cabin we've was clean, stocked, and had the most accommodating owner I've ever worked with. Thank you Janice for everything! P.S. Just an added thing to say about the owner... because my brother and his wife were renewing their vows at the Pines village church we needed an iron to kind of dress up...LOL! ( I know who needs an iron while at Bass Lake??? Well we did and the owner made a trip to bring us one) Rent this won't be sorry!!"

  • Beautiful & cozy cabin!

"This cabin is great! It has all the amenities you need, modern and comfy furniture and decor. Nice open floor plan great for entertaining and nice patio. There is a spa on property but was not available so that would have been an added bonus. No wi-fi which at first was different but it was nice to be disconnected, plus they have a house phone. The game room upstairs was a lot of fun - ping pong, foosball, air hockey and more!"
