  • The Complete Package

"Falcon's Nest worked out perfectly for our group, which consisted of five people in three upstairs rooms. The location was an easy drive to all major attractions of Yosemite Valley and Glacier's Point trail. The accommodations were as advertised - spacious bedrooms with their own bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a large comfortable common area. We cooked every evening and the manager (David) was terrific. He stopped by each night to check on things and follow up on our requests (empty trash, drop off paper towels, etc.). We noticed a few area that were not as clean as we might have liked, such as the upper windows and (mouse droppings?) the outside bar-b-que deck. I suspect this is normal in the woods :) We were delighted with all aspects of our vacation and it definitely helped that we chose to stay in a property that David manages."

  • Perfect Location

"Our group of 10 had a wonderful time during our stay at this cabin which is perfectly located between Yosemite Valley and Toulumne Meadows. We had plenty of room to accommodate the 10 of us and the view from the balcony was awesome. The owner was extremely helpful prior to our arrival and the cabin was stocked with everything we could need during our stay. We would highly recommend this cabin."

  • Great family gathering in a lovely place

"Our family of 10 (ages from 5 years to 68) flew to SFO from all over the USA. We had a wonderful time at this large, comfortable house! We especially loved our lengthy dinners on the deck with countryside views of the lake and hills; luckily, the weather was warm and perfect during our stay. The firepit was perfect for a bit of heat and yummy s'mores. The kids loved running around in the sloping wooded backyard. We played games each evening - there are lots of game choices, several TVs and movies on VHS/DVD. We spent three days in Yosemite hiking and exploring - then had relaxing evenings in this lovely house. Perfect!"

  • Rustic Cabin near Mariposa

"We spent 3 days here and enjoyed the convenience to restaurants in Mariposa (and the AMAZING food at the Yosemite Bug Hostel in Midpines). Our 2 year old son loved playing Foosball and the fun vintage toys in the toy chest upstairs. Having our own space to spread out and our own kitchen to use was definitely preferable to staying in a hotel. The downstairs king bed was indulgently comfortable, and the collection of true adventure books greatly added to my reading list. The drive to Yosemite (45 minutes to gate, but 1 hr 15 minutes to most places in the valley) was quite doable, but with a small child, I wish we had stayed closer. Also disappointing was that this was advertised as a 2 bedroom, but was actually 1 bedroom with a loft room (no door). Not a big deal for most people, but we had to be really quiet when putting our toddler to bed since there was no door to block the noise. Finally there was a lot of brush in the yard due to dead pine trees, so there wasn't a lot of room for playing outside (owner did advise us about this prior to check-in). We ended up playing at Mariposa and Midpines playgrounds which were close by. Thanks for letting us stay!"
