  • Just what we needed!

"We needed a quiet get-away and this amazing place was perfect. David's directions, information, suggestions, thoughtful touches and, of course, the property itself were all spot-on. The bed was so comfortable after wearing ourselves out exploring. We didn't try the new pizza place nearby but we took full advantage of the grocery store. We even enjoyed the tiny museum and visitor's center in Coulterville. We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Unique / Great Experience

"We stayed in the River House with a party of 7. (Beware, advertised price of River House is only for 2 people, I mistakenly thought it was for 8 people since it listed it slept 8 - additional price of almost $500.00 was needed for 5 extra people in our party) We had 2 adults, 4 teenagers (18 & 20 year olds) and a 13 year old. We all enjoyed the property, the hosts, the animals and the location. We arrived around 3pm and were pleased to find the location very close to rainbow falls and immediately put on our suits to go do some cliff jumping - Enjoyed by all 7 of us!! Patrick was great to talk to and set up a campfire one evening complete with guitar music and singing."

  • Amazing property, perfect for creating lots of family memories!

"Our family decided to have a small reunion and visit Yosemite National Park as our gathering spot. We had four coming from NC and the remaining seven from AZ. None of us had visited Yosemite before, so we weren't familiar with the area, with Mariposa, or any of the surrounding towns. We started our search on VRBO for a convenient place to stay, yet we also wanted to find something that was unique and memorable. Boy, did we luck out with Jeff's Country Estate! We were of course impressed by all of the previous reviews of the property, yet we were anxious to see for ourselves if everything that had been said was true. :-) We were thrilled to find that the property is just as amazing as everybody says it is, if not more so. Everything about the property was wonderful; the large patio was perfect for our evening family meals, all of the bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable, the pool house was very roomy and well-appointed, the kitchen was very well supplied with everything we needed to prepare our meals, comfortable family room, amazing downstairs suite, etc. And the added bonus of the pool, the pond with paddle boat, and the pirate ship (LOVE the water cannon!) were terrific features. The property is about a 40 minute drive to the main gate of Yosemite, and a very pretty drive as well, so it was very conveniently located. Unfortunately we didn't have much time to spend in Mariposa (about five minutes away), but in the brief time we were there one afternoon, we found it was a very charming town with plenty of places to eat, and various shops and attractions. In short, if you are looking for a scenic, comfortable, spacious property to use as a "home base" for visiting Yosemite, one that will provide just as many great memories as a visit to the Park itself, then don't miss Jeff's property. It is simply amazing. And Jeff himself was extremely responsive and accommodating, which made our trip preparation very easy and reassuring."

  • Great Stay for Yosemite Adventure

"We had a great stay at the Tree House for our first trip out to Yosemite. The owner was very responsive to any questions that I had prior to arriving. The house was an easy drive to Yosemite, it took about an hour to get to the valley so leave early if you want to avoid those late morning/early afternoon traffic jams that are bound to happen! We also found time one day to drive down to Sequoia National Park, it was about 2-2.5 hours down the road, but well worth the day trip! Loved the solitude that the house provided, being on 25 acres was great! Would definitely visit again!"
