  • Convenient and comfortable cabin

"The cabin was clean and comfortable. Our family of 6 had a great stay here. The location was also very convenient. It was easy to visit all the spots within the park. We would definitely come back!"

  • Wonderful Cabin with Lots of Personality

"We had such a great time in this cabin. So many amenities were included, and it was so clean and comfortable. There are loads of interesting collections in the house and an extensive video library. Although we didn't use them, the washer and dryer would have been a very convenient feature had we stayed a bit longer. I wish there was a floor plan diagram on this site, but as there's not, I'll describe it. You enter into a great room that has a large living room, beyond which is the large kitchen with center island and table. The two sides of the cabin have the bedrooms. One bathroom is accessible from the great room and both bedrooms on that side. The other is accessible through the king-bed room and the utility room, which is really like another bedroom, but with the washer and dryer in the closet. TV's abound. We hope to return in the near future. Thank you for allowing us to share your Yosemite home."

  • Beautiful, warm, cozy home nestled in the hills

"We stayed in Oakhurst, and at this home, for the first time the week between Christmas and New Years. Daria and Scott could not have been better hosts! Let me start by saying that their home felt like "home" from the moment we stepped foot in the door. We had five of us staying...my husband and I, our two children (ages 17 and 20) and our daughter's boyfriend (age 25). This house was the perfect fit for our situation! There was a bed for everyone and a bedroom and one left over downstairs near the game room! The layout of the house is perfect! Everything on the main floor with the exception of the game room which was downstairs and helped keep the noise to a minimum when my husband and I wanted to relax in the family room by the wood burning stove. The entire house was furnished with everything we needed - many homes we have stayed in leave the bare minimum by way of cooking utensils and pots and pans, etc which makes it difficult to cook a good meal. But this home had an abundance of cookware including spices and so much more!! The huge great room was decorated for Christmas which added to the charm and warmth of the home. We were away but still felt in the holiday spirit as we were surrounded by beautiful decorations! And I want to know how all of those candles come on and off on timers!! What an awesome touch! There were games and puzzles and DVDs to watch, in addition deer every evening in the yard! It was a beautiful location, close enough to Yosemite to make it your home base. We did some hikes, had some fun in the snow, just north of the home and we also ventured into Yosemite a couple of days...and always were happy to come "home" to a relaxing atmosphere of a nice warm fire in the wood burning stove and a cup of tea. I personally have asthma and allergies so I will add a little plug for those of you who also suffer from the same. Sometimes it is hard to book houses because you don't know what is in the carpets or on the furniture but this home has hard wood floors and leather couches and was so clean so I felt really comfortable and could completely relax which is sometimes hard to do. If you are considering a stay in the Oakhurst/Yosemite area, I would not hesitate for one moment to book this home! Thanks for helping us create wonderful memories Daria and Scott!"

  • As expected

"The cabin was fine. Only problem was a cheapy toaster that consistently burned the toast and set off the fire alarm. Otherwise fine."
