  • Great house in a great location

"Staying at the Oso Lodge was a very enjoyable experience. Plenty of room for our group of six adults and four kids. The kids loved the bunk beds in the closet and the upstairs loft area. The kitchen was large and well-appointed. The common areas and dining room were comfortable and spacious. Everything was clean. Location was perfect, almost equidistant from the valley and Glacier Point, both under 30 minutes away. Cell service was spotty and no cable/satellite TV, but that was fine as it forced the kids to improvise, read, play board games. I'd certainly stay here again and recommend to others."

  • FANTASTIC deck, wonderful stay, very secluded

"Stayed here with a few friends for a birthday weekend - and LOVED the house. We spent most of the time out on the very large deck. The pictures don't do it justice - it is perched high in the trees (as the name suggests) and quickly became our preferred area to be. We used the barbeque (complete with extra propane and all the tools you would need) and enjoyed using the outdoor table for dining. The amenities were great - complete kitchen (not many condiments/spices though like I've seen in other VRBOs so come prepared if you'll be cooking), plenty of extra towels, pillows, and blankets, and laundry room equipped with detergent. We didn't use the pool table although it was fun to have an extra area to lounge. We had no problems with the wifi and enjoyed watching the Olympics (although cable channels are limited and movie selection is as well, although there are DVDs and some video tapes provided). If staying for a long time or with a large party, you might find the rooms a bit small and crowded. Otherwise the beds were very comfortable. Our other favorite part of the house was the location - only a neighbor on one side and we could barely even tell. The deck is very private and the house is off any main roads and very quiet and peaceful. It is a bit farther from the lake than other houses listed on VRBO, but that was no problem for us. Be warned however - we had to pay $25 per car to enter the Pine Mountain Lake area, a fact I would have liked to know before booking. Fantastic stay overall, would love to come back in the future!!"

  • Fantastic vacation cabin!

"I can't say enough about the Lower Meadow Cabin in the foothills of Mariposa that my wife and I stayed in. The property was clean and exactly as described online. Alaina was very helpful and maintained excellent communication with us. We had no problems with utilizing the available amenities (wifi, kitchen, bedrooms, heaters) and there is a binder when you walk in that has all of the info you need. We took a few day trips to Yosemite which wasn't too far away and it was nice to come back to the cabin after a day in the snow at the park. We found good eating in town at the Sugar Pine Cafe and I also recommend the Miner's Roadhouse 140 restaurant. We took a moment to shop in town at Past and Present Mercantiles (small consignment-style shop) which has a little of everything you might enjoy. We would definitely stay here again!"
