  • Great stay in Yosemite

"Excellent location in Yosemite - about a 20-25 min drive to main attractions: Yosemite Valley, Tunnel View, and Tioga road turn off (also where the gas station is). The house is modern and well maintained. Beds comfortable. Amenities provided: shampoo, soap, dish detergent, condiments for kitchen, laundry detergent, etc. Recommend spacing out usage of hot water as the tank is a bit small. Loved the open concept kitchen & great room with high ceilings and comfortable recliners. We didn't make use of the TV but noticed that there were lots of DVDs, board games, and books to keep those that want to stay indoors busy. Wifi available but a bit slow - Verizon has good service LTE. Stock up on groceries at the Mar-Val in Groveland. Kitchen was well equipped for dining in which was a definite plus after a day of exploring Yosemite. There are ceiling fans in all areas of the house and a portable large fan for use if needed. All the windows have screens except for the large glass wall doors. Very serene location to come home to and we did enjoy some of the colors in the sky during sunset...also lots of stars out at night! It was very easy to get in contact with Alex prior to and during our stay. He provided detailed instructions to the property and there was also a manual inside the house on instructions or FAQ. Very organized. Definitely recommend this as a base for exploring Yosemite."

  • Felt like being in a fairy tale

"Looking at the cottage from the outside and any angle you can't help but feel like it's straight out of some fairy tale. It was gorgeous and cute and just what we needed for our short stay. After arriving and seeing the place and the surrounding area I was disappointed we weren't staying longer to enjoy it more. We were really only in the area to see Yosemite but it would have been nice to have a day to just hang around the cottage, pool and hot tub. I would highly recommend it. The caretaker Tony was great at giving a tour of the place and the resident dogs were quick to give you company whether you were just strolling through the property or diving into the pool. We didn't get to sit around a campfire and relax but we did enjoy some wine around the hot tub to refresh our sore legs (from hiking) - maybe we'll do a campfire next time."

  • Great experience at. The chalet

"Staying overnight inside the Yosemite park is an amazing experience. The chalet gave us this opportunity. Staying at our 'own' place, not an hotel.. Equipped with everything you'll need. Pool table and jacuzzi gave our family plenty of fun time. Clean and comfortable. Corespondent with owner very helpful. Thank you!"

  • I cannot overstate how beautiful the view is.

"This was a perfect, comfortable cabin for our family. We have two young adult children (18, 21) and it gave us plenty of space and comfort. The view is fantastic. It is so well located, a quick trip to the valley. We loved being able to retreat from the August crowds in the Valley to relax on the deck and appreciate the half dome view. Don't forget to visit the high country. Amazing."
