  • Incredible spot

"Our young family of 5 had a great stay at this cosy 2 bedroom cabin. There was a large deck so the kids had plenty of space to play outside(ish) during the day. Beatific location amongst the pine trees, only a short walk to the steam and amazing swimming hole. Crystal clear fresh water. We really did feel like it was an authentic Yosemite experience. So pleased we took a friend's advice and paid a bit more to stay within the park itself, as we didn't realise that the driving distances were significant to get to the valley, 45 min from this cabin was ok though. Staff at Redwoods were friendly and helpful, so all in all a great stay."

  • Perfect for 2 families with kids

"We had a perfect time in Big Pine Lodge, traveling with 4 adults and 3 kids, aged 4, 5, and 6. When we arrived late after the office closed, it was easy to find the envelope in the box outside that had the keys and a well-marked map to our cabin. The cabin was spotless and ready with everything we needed. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed, including a kitchen with plenty of dishes and cookware. The gas grill on the deck worked great. Living and dining rooms were very comfortable for gathering with family. Having two full bathrooms was a big plus for sharing a cabin with 4 adults and three little kids. The store was a 50 yard walk through the woods and was well stocked with any groceries we forgot. The office staff were very professional and helpful. In all, a great stay. We paid more than we are used to for vacation lodging, but felt we really got our money's worth with a super clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and well-managed cabin that made it easy for everyone to relax when traveling with small kids."

  • Bear House-River House-Amazing House!

"How can we not write a review for this place! It was amazing and we are planning to come back. Our kids (5 and 2) call the River House the Bear House due to the wooden bear statues everywhere, which they loved. My wife says the best part of our Yosemite trip was staying at the River House. This house has it all.... lots of space, stunning property, quiet and peaceful and of course the peacock! Patrick the caretaker of the site was helpful with getting our pilot light started and making sure the hot tub was heated."

  • Nice cabin, everything was clean, tons of cooking supplies.

"This was a great location, already in the park. Took a little less than an hour to get to Glacier Point and a little more time to get to the Valley. Cabin was very spacious, plenty of utensils and everything needed to cook and serve for a large party. Place was very clean and had all the conveniences of home, happy to have ceiling fans too. Only issue was upstairs bedrooms were very dark, a little creepy. Kids wouldn't sleep up there so they camped in the living room. If I had known that ahead of time would have booked a smaller cabin. I would suggest brightening up the place a bit at least with the bedding, would make a big difference."
