  • Large cabin well stocked

"This cabin accommodated our family of 5 adults and 2 children easily. Great views out the kitchen and living room windows. It was well stocked with kitchen cookware and serving dishes. We contacted the owner a couple of times and she was available, friendly and accommodating. The only reason I gave the property a 4 star is because it was an older cabin that could use some updating, like the cabinet doors in the kitchen didn't stay shut, one of the stove top burners didn't work - basically minor things. But it was still a great place to stay with everything you needed."

  • Bear House-River House-Amazing House!

"How can we not write a review for this place! It was amazing and we are planning to come back. Our kids (5 and 2) call the River House the Bear House due to the wooden bear statues everywhere, which they loved. My wife says the best part of our Yosemite trip was staying at the River House. This house has it all.... lots of space, stunning property, quiet and peaceful and of course the peacock! Patrick the caretaker of the site was helpful with getting our pilot light started and making sure the hot tub was heated."

  • Clouds Rest Cabin - a true escape from it all.

"We enjoyed 3 fabulous nights at Clouds Rest Cabin. We are so glad that we made the decision to stay inside the park. The location was just perfect. It is a wonderful place to stay away from the crowds of the valley floor. We chose to drive and then hike early in the morning, spending the afternoons and evenings back at the cabin, relaxing, admiring the view, cooking on the bbq and looking at the stars. We had everything that we needed at Clouds Rest. It was extremely well equipped and comfortable. We felt very sad to leave and will definitely return. We would like to thank Mark and Noreen for sharing their lovely house and the wonders of Yosemite with us. (A big thank you too for returning the jacket that we left behind! Much appreciated)"

  • A great and relaxing place fairly close to Yosemite Valley, perfect for watching sunsets

"We spent five nights in Yosemite National Park, and it was made perfect with our stay in the Sunset House. If you are not interested in staying in the Yosemite Valley, this is a very convenient and relaxing place nearby. As long as you are prepared to bring your own groceries and tune out with fairly limited cell phone/internet coverage, this is a great place to finish a day of hiking or sightseeing within the park. We had Verizon, so we could get some limited coverage, which was great, as it was just enough to keep connected with the outside world, but not so much that we spent the entire time looking at our smartphones. Instead, we passed the time making meals, relaxing on the patio, and watching beautiful sunsets. One night my wife asked me to pull over so she could take a picture of the charismatic "Speeding kills bears" road sign just about a mile before the Yosemite West turn off, when wouldn't you believe it, a real bear ran across the highway. So, this is definitely in a remote and wild area."
