  • Loved it!!!!

"This house is awesome!!! We planned a trip to Yosemite this summer but we knew we didn't want to stay in Yosemite for a whole week so we decided Bass Lake! This house is super quiet and peaceful. My 6 year old and my 3 year old loved the neighbors and played soccer with them, they loved the pool, the small walk to the lake and walking outside in the neighborhood with flashlights looking at the Stars that we don't see in LA. House was very cozy and clean. It was our first time in Bass Lake and our fourth time in Yosemite, but our first time with kids and grandma. We all drove to Yosemite 3 times, it's 30 minutes to the Entrance but we honestly loved the lake! renting a boat, spending the day at the lake with our cooler, music and food, we spent a day at the house in the pool and BBQn and enjoyed some of the few restaurants around the lake. Can't wait to go back"

  • A great and relaxing place fairly close to Yosemite Valley, perfect for watching sunsets

"We spent five nights in Yosemite National Park, and it was made perfect with our stay in the Sunset House. If you are not interested in staying in the Yosemite Valley, this is a very convenient and relaxing place nearby. As long as you are prepared to bring your own groceries and tune out with fairly limited cell phone/internet coverage, this is a great place to finish a day of hiking or sightseeing within the park. We had Verizon, so we could get some limited coverage, which was great, as it was just enough to keep connected with the outside world, but not so much that we spent the entire time looking at our smartphones. Instead, we passed the time making meals, relaxing on the patio, and watching beautiful sunsets. One night my wife asked me to pull over so she could take a picture of the charismatic "Speeding kills bears" road sign just about a mile before the Yosemite West turn off, when wouldn't you believe it, a real bear ran across the highway. So, this is definitely in a remote and wild area."

  • Great place to stay and visit Yosemite.

"Paul's place is very comfortable and quiet. Located outside Mariposa, it is within a 1 hour drive of Yosemite. All the conveniences of home are there. Paul is a very personable and interesting person. We really enjoyed chatting with him when we arrived, and he made us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend this property."

  • The absolute Best place to stay

"We enjoyed our stay. My wife and I loved the place. Very nice neighborhood, nice people to deal with when renting, and overall the best place we have stayed in a very long time. Very clean, well kept, nice yard, quiet and close very close to the Yosemite National Park. Thanks for a great stay!"
