  • Clouds Rest Cabin - a true escape from it all.

"We enjoyed 3 fabulous nights at Clouds Rest Cabin. We are so glad that we made the decision to stay inside the park. The location was just perfect. It is a wonderful place to stay away from the crowds of the valley floor. We chose to drive and then hike early in the morning, spending the afternoons and evenings back at the cabin, relaxing, admiring the view, cooking on the bbq and looking at the stars. We had everything that we needed at Clouds Rest. It was extremely well equipped and comfortable. We felt very sad to leave and will definitely return. We would like to thank Mark and Noreen for sharing their lovely house and the wonders of Yosemite with us. (A big thank you too for returning the jacket that we left behind! Much appreciated)"

  • Best Home rental Ever

"My wife and I and 3 friends arrived on June 1st for 5 nights. We were set to do 4 day hikes in Yosemite and this would be our home. My first reaction upon seeing the home from the inside was "Wow!, it looks bigger than the pictures". The living room, dining room, and kitchen are immense, modern, just perfect. Wonderful backyard with large BBQ (full propane tank) and table with umbrella. The 2 bedrooms upstairs have California King Beds. Downstairs there's a Queen bedroom. ALL bedrooms have their own bath, which is super convenient and makes it more like home. They also have a den with Satellite TV. The main downside is the Internet access which is very poor but the owner is exploring HughesNet Satellite Internet. But trust me, we did not mind at all. Verizon cell phone signal was good. The only beef is that we, as renters, have to do the kitchen cleanup and hauling of all trash to the dumpsters 1.5 miles away. Again, I would do this all over again. But thought you should be aware. The coffee machine needs basket filters which you should bring. The kitchen is so well equipped with pots, pans, etc., that of our 5 nights there, we cooked and BBQ'ed for 5 people 4 of those nights. The cost of groceries at the Village Store was not as bad as we expected. That is 30 minutes away. The owner was communicative and helpful. You will be glad you stayed here. Thanks Lucy!!"

  • Perfect place for a getaway - and to acclimate for Mt. Whitney climb!

"This condo has great views of the golf course and is bright and cozy. We used it as a pre-climb acclimatization spot for Mt. Whitney. It is well stocked if you want to cook in and is close enough to easily walk to restaurants. We will definitely stay there again!"

  • Location, location, location -- perhaps the best spot in the best cove at the lake.

"Loved the location for the 180+-degrees lake views, meals on the deck, plenty of dock space for our boat, kayak, paddle boards and other toys, and how it's just off the main lake's 5 mph buoys for near-immediate access to skiing and boarding or to the slow channel for long paddles. Plus it's about halfway between both ends of the lake so it's easy to go left if you're out for sport or to the right if it's dinner-cruising or nighttime star-gazing. Also was a great location for trips away from the lake like to Murphys for dinner and wine-tasting, or even Calaveras Big Trees, Alpine Lake, Yosemite or other great hiking destinations. The house is casual and functional, and a very flexible setup if you'll be having friends and family in and out for visits during your stay. Host responds promptly to any questions or needs."
