  • Just as described in the listing and had everything we needed. The Atari games were fun!

"We were here Thanksgiving week and had one night of light snow. We couldn't go tubing/skiing yet, but had fun playing with the kids in the inch or two of snow near Pinecrest Lake and the Sno-Park. Convenient for a day trip to Columbia State Historic Park, too. We ice skated at Long Barn Lodge on Thanksgiving and practically had the rink to ourselves! The cabin got warm by the end of the first evening and stayed warm throughout our stay. The loft was a great hangout for our kids (11 and 9). They played with the marble run set and sometimes the Atari, and LOVED not having to share a bed like they would in a hotel room. The remodeled kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed and then some. Lots of "extra" food items if you are in a pinch, and plenty of plates, silverware, etc. The "bedroom" downstairs fit my husband and me, but it was tight--no room to walk around. (The TV/Satellite reception was great in there, though!) Not a problem for a three-night stay. No WiFi or data service in the cabin, which was actually refreshing. A lot of spots along the highway and in the surrounding spots we drove to got data just fine. We didn't use any of the snow gear, but there was a lot available. Oh, the tile floors were chilly on the spots that didn't have rugs. I wore my wool socks and I was fine. Overall, we were very pleased with our home away from home!"

  • Charming condo

"We enjoyed our week in this Rancho Las Palmas condo. It was a perfect size for a couple with enough room, with second bedroom and bathroom, for guests. The living room was charmingly decorated with native art and very bright and sunny in the mornings. All kitchen amenities were available and we immediately felt at home. Overall, we would recommend this condo as an attractive, well maintained and comfortable vacation stay. We hope to return."

  • Great Stay

"We had a fantastic stay at this house. It was a really nice size for our large group (16) and the downstairs playroom allowed the kids to play independently. Great location and great house. We would definitely rent it again. One small recommendation to the owner....a whole house fan to help cool the house in the evenings."

  • Beautiful house, great location, and that view...

"What a beautiful place! My friends and I were back in Redding for our high school reunion, and we were looking for a place where we could stay together and relax and reconnect. We wanted something in town and close to everything. This was the perfect place--great location, lots of room, a great kitchen for making meals together, a beautiful patio for enjoying the view. And the view...I could have sat and watched the river roll by all weekend. We saw egrets, deer, and wild turkeys across the way, and flocks Canada geese flying along the river. It was lovely. Paul and Sandy were really helpful and responsive to our questions. They have a beautiful house and they take good care of it. We had a wonderful weekend there, and we're grateful to them for sharing it with us!"
