  • Great cabin, great location...

"This is our second year in a row, we stayed 2 weeks. The cabin is a great home away from home, with all the amenities you need. Comfortable, clean and well stocked. We come in June, for the mtn biking, and the access to the mtn from this cabin is perfect, just a straight run up Moonridge to 2N10. It's also very close to the Zoo, the Golfcourse and the Grocery Store! The cabin stays nice and cool on the warm June afternoons. Both the front porch and the back patio are comfortable, and a great place to hang out after an active day on the mtn. We'll be back!"

  • "NARNIA"at the Whispering Pines Estate ( Big Bear )

"The family expected a cabin made of pinewood, with dried slopes and lots of pine cones but to their surprise when driving into the driveway of this amazing place all I can hear is everyone saying 'OMG" and rushing out of the cars running into the house into the amazing back yard and all they can say "Dad!" "Mom!" is this real!!! We should stay here for over... Everything about Whispering Pines Estate was perfect for all ages - Fun, relaxing, mysterious and overall the landscaping was so amazing and detailed - you get all types of forest creatures to just sit back and watch. Ps. adding a swimming pool - would be like an amazing resort. Thanks again for the fabulous stay!"

  • Extremely convenient to Bear Mountain Ski Resort

"We stayed during Spring Break in the Lower Unit and had a fabulous time. There is a large back yard for children to play and the Local Zoo is an easy walk although it is moving further down the hill soon. The lower unit is well equipped with everything you need to feel like it is home away from home and the WiFi is adequate for streaming TV so bring you ROKU or Apple TV. There is only television in the livingroom so we set up streaming in the bedrooms for the kids. You can hear the upper duplex downstairs, basically walking, showers and flushing but it became white noise to us during the week we stayed in the lower unit. Straight down Moonridge or Goldmine is Bear Belly Cafe, coffee shops and a Walgreens. The trash sight is just past Walgreens straight down Moonridge. To stock your fridge, there are two grocery stores down Moonridge and make a right on Big Bear Blvd. For skiing, you can walk to Bear Mountain and Snow Summit is a 5 minutes drive. The property managers were very responsive during our stay and always got back to us same day. We were never able to start a fire but there is a fireplace for those more experienced with getting a fire started. There is no patio furniture in back but perhaps that was just because we were there during ski season. It snowed twice during our stay in late March so if you stay in summer, perhaps there will be patio furniture in back for BBQ's. Parking is tight so 2 cars for lower and 2 cars for the upper unit is as good as it gets. There is no street parking."
