Steps to the lake
"This studio was perfect for two people, it was literally a few steps to the lake, and a short 3 minute walk to Pine Knot Avenue (the "main" street with shops, bars, restaurants, theater, etc). The studio was clean and well appointed, with an attached garage so you could stow your stuff (but not a car) inside and have more walking around space in the studio. This was perfect for our bikes, stroller, luggage etc. There was a BBQ on the patio, and all the appliances in the studio worked. There was no stove top, just a single burner hot plate, but there was a microwave, toaster oven and refrigerator (and a dishwasher). The heater was adequate for our needs. My only complaint was that we did not have keys to the pool area or the dock area, and our calls to the owner weren't answered (it was a holiday week end, so perhaps he was on holiday). The adjacent hotel was listed as a contact for problems, but they said they no longer managed the rental. I would absolutely rent this again, but I would clarify the pool and dock key beforehand."

"Our family had a great week-end stay in this townhouse! Loved that we were on the lake, So beautiful! Also amazed that Big Bear Village was walking distance, wow has it grown! many good restaurants , music Venue's , movie theater , fudge/candy store and much more. Our family also had a day of skiing at Snow Summit, only few blocks up the Main Street. Tip: buy tickets day before. Next day Saturday had breakfast headed up around 9:30/10am thought we would have to take shuttle but suprised to find parking lot with many open spaces. You can pay $20 for all day parking, well worth it!

"Had a group of 5 adults and 4 kids (ages 5, 4, 2, and 4 months) stay President's day weekend. Had a great experience as our singular goal was to find some snow and hills to sled down. Loved that there was snow to play in right behind the house and a picnic area/park that we could walk to, avoiding the $5 parking permit and fighting people for parking spots. House was fully stocked, we prepped and ate every meal in the kitchen area and found nothing lacking. The property manager was very prompt in returning inquires and communication was excellent. Would definitely stay here again. Another thumbs up for the DVD collection, as there were quite a few recent blockbusters available to watch."
