  • Menchies Staff Retreat

"We went from May/26-30 for a company retreat. The house/cabin is marvelous and so close to the center of activities, city, etc. The lake is just across the road and the marina is 5 minutes walking distance. The house is beautiful and has everything that anyone will need for a great vacation. The spa is also a major plus after a long hiking day. All in all we are very satisfied and will repeat this year over year again."

  • Perfect location! Gorgeous and cozy house!

"This house was so big and perfect for our stay! Everything worked, it was warm, the jacuzzi was wonderful and the beds were clean and comfy! The kitchen had everything you needed (minus the food obviously) to make dinner in for your family including a bbq! Everything was clean and I love how everything was so open! You never missed out on family time while in the kitchen! The only thing I wasn't happy with was how short our trip was! I do wish there was more snow around the house too but we did visit at the beginning of March. It is walking distance from the slopes yet far enough away that there was no noise or chaos at all! Amanda was super accommodating and always available and quick to responded with any questions or concerns!"

  • Cute Comfy and Clean!

"This is a very cute cabin. My husband and I spent 2 day relaxing and enjoying the mountain air. The cabin is very centrally located. Just a short drive to everything. I do wish there was a direct walk down to the lake though. Maybe there was but I couldn't find it. Obviously, the homeowners don't want anyone wandering through their yard, I totally get it. Also, the lake is pretty low so the view of Boulder Bay is of dry land. As the owner said "we're waiting for mother nature to do her thing". There really is everything you need in the cabin. It was unseasonably warm when we went so the cabin was a little warm so we just went out on the deck in the evening to cool off and enjoy the view. One suggestion to the owners though. Maybe find a way to put up some sort of privacy from the neighbors. When BBQ-ing or Jaccuzz-ing, you are on display and all your conversations go right into their window. With that being said, it really is a nice place to stay and if we find ourselves heading back up to the lake, we would absolutely rent the cabin again. The owner was very nice and immediately available if any issues came up. The place was very well maintained and clean. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be with a nice snowfall around it. I would absolutely recommend this to my friends."
