  • Lots of snow

"We enjoyed the cabin. It was clean and the bedroom worked well for my husband, myself and 5 year old. It seems that the refrigerator door swings the wrong way. There was one time when the hot water wasn't working in the shower but by the morning it was fine. The only issue was neighbors were unable to park in their driveways due to no snowplow so we were unable to drive out until the other cars blocking the street moved. It seems to me that the company should insure that everyone can get into their driveways after checkin. Taxi service in big bear had us wait in the cold for over an hour. Beside that the trip was good. The dvd set up is odd in the fact that you have to unplug the cable and plug in the DVD. But I got it to work."

  • Property was very nice, cozy, well heated, and in a beautiful setting not far from the slopes.

"We really enjoyed our stay at Pinecone Chalet. Well stocked kitchen, 3 big bedrooms with warm and comfortable beds. The property manager, Stacy was very kind and helpful. The weather and traffic conditions were terrible and she kept in contact with us until we arrived safely, after midnight! When we had a problem with the cable she had someone there to fix it within half an hour. I can highly recommend this property and management company. Thank you for a great stay!"

  • My Son's 4th Birthday Celebration

"My son's request for his 4th birthday was to go to the snow! So we rented this cabin for 5 days and it was perfect. There were 5 of us and it was a perfect fit. If we visit again though, I will definitely be bringing extra trash bags and toilet paper because they only supply one of both. But the cabin was cozy & pretty clean and we really loved the location. Fun things to do nearby with the kids and good places to eat. Only thing that had me a little on edge was the stairs, because we have a 1 year old and we forgot our security gate! So all of us had to keep our eyes on her at all times. Other than that, my son definitely had the best time celebrating his 4th birthday there in the snow & if we ever go back to Big Bear we will definitely be looking into renting out this cabin again!"

  • A few things missing....

"Overall a very nice rental house. Three kids, a dog and two adults fit very well. It was clean with plenty of room. GREAT backyard and hot tub. Kitchen was new and very well stocked. The downside: there were no paper towels, no large trash bags to haul trash to the dump and the T.V. in the twin beds bedroom didn't work which was a big disappointment to the kids. Also the swing set needs to be repaired as it seems very unstable and is leaning to one side. We didn't let the kids play on it. There was a bag of dirty towels on the driveway left behind from the cleaning crew too. It would have been super nice to have a clothes dryer as we had a lot of wet clothes from all the fantastic snow playing. We would consider staying there again tho for the great backyard, hot tub and house layout and furnishings. All in all, a nice stay."
