  • Cozy, clean and comfy cabin for us and our dog

"Our big bear trip consisted of me, the lady and our pup. This cabin has a nice fenced backyard so the dog could roam around freely. The cabin itself was clean, with ample utilities for cooking and a nice fireplace. Everything in the cabin was easy to use as instructions were placed by anything that was usable (tv, cable box, fireplace etc) so we had no frustrating "how do we use this?" Style problems. Location itself was close to the lake and town area. John (the owner of property) also sends you an email with gives plenty of directions and locations in the area which was very helpful when looking for shops etc. we would diffently stay at this cabin again. Defiantly recommended if you are looking for a place to bring your pup to big bear or even if you need a cozy place to stay ."

  • Fun and Peaceful stay in Big Bear!

"Enjoyed a wonderful two nite stay in this beautiful cozy cabin. The first nite we were there we sat outside on the 2nd floor and enjoyed watching several shooting stars. Just happened to be the night of the Perseid meteor shower! Perfect spot to enjoy the light show! The cabin was clean, inviting, and comfortable, and located a perfect distance from the village so you get the best of both worlds: quiet and peaceful during day and night, but short driving distance from hiking trails and all the fun stuff happening in Big Bear Village. Thanks for a brief but refreshing vacation!"

  • Great location great property!

"Stayed for Labor Day weekend 2016. Great location, about 2 minutes from an awesome trailhead for hiking. We've stayed in Sugarloaf before and we absolutely love this are. There is a small general store and a bar and restaurant that is walking distance from the property. The views are really nice and the neighborhood is tranquil. All of the pictures are accurate as well as the descriptions. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5 star rating is because we had 7 light bulbs go out within the first 2 hours of being on the property. We replaced all of them but it was inconvenient. Also, the dining table is only 4 seats and it is extremely small at that. There were no other available chairs to use at the table which was irritating. We only had 6 of us so while our sleeping accomodations were adequate trying to have a family meal was difficult. There are plenty of board games and the cable is not bad. We had a few ants in the kitchen when we got here as well, we got some spray and they didn't return. The house was really clean and I would definitely recommend to people I know."
