  • Great cabin with everything you need to have a great stay. Very well cared for.

"Experience was great the location is close enough to town and the forest outback was great we were able to take our little boys right out back to go play in the snow. Great place and would definitely stay here again."

  • Charming Cabin With Fantastic Attention to Detail!

"Everything about this property was fantastic. Excellent communication with the owner, Tara, all the way from the inquiry to departure. The cabin decor was updated, clean and adorable with perfect Big Bear touches everywhere. Amenities were excellent for my family of four (two teenage daughters) including bedroom TV's, games and movies. The living room was set up "Great-Room" style with the adjoining kitchen/dining, so we were all able to be together very comfortably watching movies, playing cards and also while I cooked. The gas logs in the fireplace made relaxing by the fire each evening so simple as well. As someone who cooks the majority of our meals while in BB, the kitchen was VERY well stocked with every pot, pan and gadget I needed, and dishes for serving and eating (which isn't always the case with rentals). Overall, a cabin I would definitely recommend to anyone, and also would love to stay at again. Thanks Tara!"

  • Charming, cozy, quaint, and surrounded by snow!

"Our young family of four fit perfectly in this little cozy and cute little cabin. Snow was everywhere, great sledding nearby, and we loved our meal at Thelma's cafe. If you have two little kiddos who just love playing in the snow, building snowmen, and sledding, this would be a great place for you."

  • Great first time stay.

"The size of the cabin and backyard were great for us and our dogs. I was extremely happy to find such a great pet friendly cabin. Getting to go straight to the cabin and use the lock box instead of having to drive further into Big Bear to check in at the office was extremely convenient for us. We really appreciated how easy it was to check in and out. Everything was as expected compared to the online descriptions. We originally planned on bringing two friends, and I must say, I'm glad they couldn't make it, because this cabin is small for 4 people, and I wouldn't say the futon was comfortable enough to call a bed. But for just the two of us, it was great. The only minor complaints I have, is that I wish there was a broom somewhere in the cabin, especially one easily accessible to guests. We were only there 2 nights, but with our pups tracking in dirt from outside, I wish I could have swept a couple times to keep the place feeling clean and cozy. Also, I could not figure out how to turn on the outside light at the very back of the house, which would have come in handy for after-dark potty trips. A description of how to use that light in the property management guide may come in handy for future guests. We used flashlights which worked fine, but the stationary light would have been much more convenient. We were sure to pick up after our dogs, but we did notice there was a good amount of poo left in the backyard by previous guests. Other than the the property was clean and inviting when we arrived. All in all the stay was great and the cabin suited our needs just fine. The fenced in front and back yard were perfect for us and made unpacking/packing the car very easy, seeing as our dogs could go in and out of the house freely without us having to keep them on leashes. Our only plan during our stay was to walk up to the forest, and the location of the cabin was absolutely perfect for that purpose. It took less than 10 minutes to walk up the street to the tree line. Thank you for the great stay, we look forward to renting with you again in the future, and plan on recommending Cool Cabins to friends and family for their rental needs."
