  • Wonderful

"By far this is one of the best places to stay at in Big Bear. Everything was great no complaints what so ever."

  • Cute, cozy, warm, quiet, clean cabin in Sugar Loaf

"This house had a cabin cozy feel. I love the timber-knotted pine look. It was cozy and very clean. Two King sized beds slept me, my two kids and my folks from out of town in the other. There was ample room for two dog crates too. The bedding was orthopedic soft feeling. The kitchen was enough space to cook and eat. Plenty of room for three adults, two kids (9 & 7), and two med size dogs. I liked the fenced porch for the pooches.Even though the yard wasn't fenced, it was great having the National Forest directly behind the house! We saw many different birds, rabbits and BURRO. Neighbors said Bear, raccoon and coyotes lurk about. Even though we were nightly renters, the neighbors were quite friendly and nice. We would definitely come back again!"

  • Great location great property!

"Stayed for Labor Day weekend 2016. Great location, about 2 minutes from an awesome trailhead for hiking. We've stayed in Sugarloaf before and we absolutely love this are. There is a small general store and a bar and restaurant that is walking distance from the property. The views are really nice and the neighborhood is tranquil. All of the pictures are accurate as well as the descriptions. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5 star rating is because we had 7 light bulbs go out within the first 2 hours of being on the property. We replaced all of them but it was inconvenient. Also, the dining table is only 4 seats and it is extremely small at that. There were no other available chairs to use at the table which was irritating. We only had 6 of us so while our sleeping accomodations were adequate trying to have a family meal was difficult. There are plenty of board games and the cable is not bad. We had a few ants in the kitchen when we got here as well, we got some spray and they didn't return. The house was really clean and I would definitely recommend to people I know."

  • Home away from home!

"This is not our first rodeo staying at this cabin, and it will definitely not be our last. We've stayed at many places over the years but this cabin always refreshes our souls. It's so peaceful. We had 4 hours of heavy snowfall on Friday and I woke up to blue skies and 30-40 blue jays on the tree off the deck on Saturday and Sunday. It was perfect. The pictures do not do it justice. The main living room isn't even posted on this site yet it is so comfortable. Our kids are grown so my husband and I like to travel with our Bull mastiffs now and they have plenty of room to lounge with us here. The deck is a great place to read a book, the village is just 5-10 minutes away and the snow play (skiing, tubing or snow boarding) is just a short drive as well. My final comment is about Dave, the cabin owner. I feel like he is an old friend that cares about us every time I talk with him. His customer service makes me want to come back to this cabin and that makes the stay feel even more perfect. Enjoy if you are renting this cabin! Milo and Maureen Clark from OC, CA"
