  • Delightful cabin in the forest

"Comfortable chalet on a quiet cul-de-sac. Wonderful private deck looking into the national forest ... full of friendly bluejays and chipmunks. Weather was fabulous ... around 78 degrees our whole stay. Loved the high ceilings and the fully stocked kitchen ... and the comfortable beds. AND it was only a 10 minute ride to town. Also ... the owners were very friendly and helpful!!"

  • perfect weekend getaway

"this was my first time renting a home on vrbo for the weekend, and malia made the process easy and smooth from the beginning answering all of my questions and accommodating our request for a slightly earlier check in time. the welcome binder made it easy to operate everything from the entertainment centers to the hot tub and locate the thermostats for each floor. our group loved how spacious it is so that it did not feel like we were crowding one another. the kitchen was also WELL stocked and had even a few items that we had forgotten. it was a great first experience and made for the perfect weekend getaway. we definitely will be back. thank you, malia!"

  • Fantastic Weekend

"We sold our cabin in Big Bear last year but still love the area and spent Memorial Day Weekend at the Grand. We had a great time. The home is clean, well stocked, and clearly well taken care of. We loved the outdoor table area off the kitchen as it kept us out of the cool breeze and we warmed ourselves by the fireplace there. Our adult children joined us and everyone loved the spa overlooking the lake. Simply beautiful. The house is a destination by itself and we spent the entire weekend there simply enjoying ourselves. We will definitely return. Thank you!"

  • Perfect place for a family reunion!

"We had a mini family reunion at the cabin with six adults, five kids and one small dog. The home was spacious enough for a card game downstairs, TV in the downstairs playroom, a ping pong TOURNAMENT in the upstairs loft and quiet reading on the deck...all at the same time! The cabin is a quick walk (about 15 minutes) to the Snow Summit lifts where there are dog friendly hiking trails, mountain biking, an area where you can bungee jump and climb a rock wall. We just hiked to avoid the fees. It is close to Von's and extremely quiet at night. There was a tiny hiccup and that was when we discovered that there was only a Keurig coffee maker. We packed our own coffee since that's one thing we must have in the morning. I called housekeeping and a traditional coffeemaker was delivered within two hours, along with more towels. I loved staying at the Wahl's cabin. The art was wonderful, it was well stocked and beautifully furnished. Thank you so much for allowing us to make memories in your home."
