  • Very peaceful

"This cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. It sits far enough back from the road that you don't hear the traffic. It's very quiet. You can hear the creek from the back deck which is very tranquil. It has all the amenities that you need. Kathy responded very quickly to every e-mail I sent. Idyllwild is one of my favorite places to go. The little town is quaint and everyone is very friendly. There are plenty of places to eat and shop and lots of hiking trails, which we love. We will be visiting again."

  • Great Place.

"Everything was great except there are not any screens on the lower level windows. We could not have them open for the breeze to cool-off the interior. We stayed in July. Days hot. Really enjoyed the hot tub."

  • Idyllcreek A-Frame

"My wife and i had a wonderful and cozy 35th wedding anniversary staying at Kelly's vacation home! What a treat and a perfect getaway for a couple or small family! A warm fire every night added to the terrific ambiance. Although the kitchen was well equipped (great coffeemaker, per my wife), we rarely cooked because the restaurants in town were so good . . . and the people all so friendly!! Very comfortable bedding after negotiating the spiral staircase!! And such a short walk from Idyllcreek!! Going the other direction, a small drive led us to terrific trailheads to explore Lily Rock and Tahquitz Peak. We can't wait to visit Idyllwild and Idyllcreek again!!"

  • Halloween Retreat

"So I will divide this into 3 parts: Booking: Since I never take vacation, the trip was researched last minute (2 days before arriving and confirming the day before). Another group requested the same cabin and Max was very accommodating. Needless to say, we booked this trip in under 24 hours with almost instantaneous responses. Stay: Upon arrival, it was very secluded, but not far from town; fully fenced-in for our dog! Everything was ready for us when we walked-in. No issues at all, tried the jacuzzi at night with the stars ( way to describe). Now it was Halloween weekend, so the entire town took all the kids and brought them on a parade getting candy and threw a mini-festival (so cool). I should mention that not only is Max's cabin dog-friendly but EVERY store/restaurant accommodates our furry family members (guest water bowl and everything). We went to the shoe store because I forgot hiking shoes and the owner insisted I bring my friend and dog in the store only to be greeted with a dog treat. Oh and slept like a baby each night in the comfy bed. Departure: Town Dump area is very close to town. We are very neat so we cleaned a little (only to be told we didn't have to haha). Left the key and were on our way home. Thank you Max!"
