  • Perfect place to stay

"This is a lovely cabin perfect for a family getaway. The location is perfect and quiet and it's close to the town and the lake. The cabin itself has just about everything you need. Carolyn & Wallace were easy to get a hold of for questions, and they had nice homey touches for us. The large snow-covered backyard was perfect for a three-team snowball fight. Having three levels in the cabin was also nice for the kids to be downstairs and the adults could be upstairs. Only one warning if you go to Big Bear and there's snow on the ground, do not park on ANY city streets whether there's a sign or not the entire street in the village full of cars all got tickets me included $150."

  • Perfect birthday escape!

"Rented this house for a 30th birthday party and it was a blast! We had 13, 30-somethings and it was an easy fit with room to spare. They layout was perfect for a big group if some wanted to be loud and others wanted quiet. Coffee on the deck every morning was absolute perfection, even better than how it looks in the pictures. The kitchen was full of every utensil needed for a couple big family-style meals. Easy drive to the lake for boating and sightseeing. Capped off the trip with a visit to Oktoberfest. Owners were very easy to work with and will definitely visit again!"

  • A great escape

"I am of a huge, multigenerational family full of adults of different ages with kids running around all over the place. It truly felt like a secluded get-away from all the traffic and chaos of every day life. Right when we arrived at the location, there were three available spots to park and we were able to get into the cabin with directions and code just fine. The owner was careful to make sure we had at least 4 wheel drive in addition to our chains. She was also very cognizant and available to our needs. When we entered the rustic cabin, we were stunned by how beautifully designed the inside was as it was updated with wooden floors, fluffy carpetry, and well-maintained fixtures in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. We were also able to enjoy the magnificent view of the moutain and city lights from a spacious and serene deck like we were in a Folgers commercial. The cabin also had games like Clue, Scrabble, and Playing Cards; and comfortable spaces to relax, enjoy coffee/tea, and talk to one another. Finally, the place is located conveniently (walking distance) down the street from a grocery store (Jensen's) and nice local restaurants. It was also minutes away from Snow Valley where we were able to enjoy snowboarding (for the adults) and tubing with the kids. In this short period of time, I have shared unforgettable experiences with my family in this truly special cabin which offered everything at our convenience. To have another experience like this is extremely rare and we hope other places we stay in the future will live up to the same caliber."
