  • Comfy Cabin, Helpful Owner

"Van was very easy to coordinate our stay. He even let us know when the housecleaners would be gone on the day we checked in so we got in quite early! His instructions were helpful and simple. Two days after our departure, my deposit was in my bank account and I received a thank you email from him. We were at max capacity with 8 people and there was a bed or couch for everyone. The cabin had plenty of linens/sheets and bath towels for our 3 night stay. We did a lot of cooking and there were some basic kitchen items like pans, pots, cookie sheets, utensils, dishware, cups. If you are making anything random, consider bringing any non-basic utensils (i.e. cheese slicer ) as well as tupperware for leftovers. I really liked that the space allows you to cook, socialize and relax all in one area which was nice. We did run out of toilet paper and paper towels so you may want to bring a bit more but they provide these starting items, trash bags and dish soap! Cable is very limited but there is a DVD player so we ran to the RedBox down the street and enjoyed 3 movies! The WiFi worked great - I think everyone was logged in. Don't be discouraged by the location on VRBO's map! It looks off the beaten path but the cabin is not far from anything including both Snow Resorts, the grocery store and many other restaurants and shops. Firewood was even provided but our late season visit didn't require any fires."

  • Stunning Property and Views, incredibly inviting and welcoming cottage and hosts

"My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at the Wine Country Cottage. We've traveled extensively through Napa, Sonoma, Sausilito and Northern Arizona wineries, but having just moved to Orange County, this was our very first visit to Temecula. We pulled in later then expected, and couldn't believe how beautiful this particular property was! The grounds were immaculately maintained, acres of green grass and flowers and perfect landscaping, and the views of the stars and downtown Temecula were just incredible! There was just this stunning peaceful, romantic aspect to the whole place. We sat outside (there were so many places to choose for seating, I would guess there are several acres on site, several places with cozy seating couches and outside furniture to enjoy the grounds on!) and enjoyed a bottle under the stars. The cottage itself was immaculate, everything we could have wanted in our stay, and then some! More then comfortable, it was actually inviting! We loved everything from the down bed to the lush carpets and updated appliances throughout, and everything so clean! We shucked oysters for dinner, perfect set up! The hosts, Sandi and Steve, were fantastic as well. They welcomed us, enjoyed some conversation, and then handed over keys to the beautiful cottage for us to settle in! I read the last review, and by the way, not to contradict the person with the cat, but my animals were welcomed and the hosts had put comfie/cozy covers over the lovely furniture because I told her in advance the "kids" would be coming. As a home owner, I can appreciate that she does this, because although I love my fur babies, I'm sure not everyone does, so while its dog friendly, I can appreciate the need for stating that in advance, especially when they make so many allowances for dog/and then non/dog owners BOTH! Anyway, I never heard their border collie bark once, thought he was friendly and such a bonus to the property, frolicking around on the main side of the green grass so we could enjoy watching him, but still stay separate (the cottage has its own fence and green grass yard). All in all, one of the most beautiful and welcoming places we have ever stayed. We can't wait to come back! Oh, and the pups who typically have anxiety, they must have sensed how peaceful/serene this place was because they immediately settled and relaxed! Something very majestic about Temecula, and this home captures it all!!! Thanks Sandi and Steve, we can't wait to return!!!!!!"
