  • Perfect Tahoe Vacation

"Our family stayed here with another family (4 adults, 4 young kids) over a long weekend in March 2016. The location is great for either summer or winter Tahoe run-- close to the lake, restaurants, etc and also close to ski resorts, snow play areas etc. The cabin is great-- roomy (there is an extra small bedroom in addition to the 3 advertised rooms which is perfect for kids), fully stocked (games, DVDs, firewood, sleds, full kitchen setup, etc), with plenty of rustic Tahoe charm. They even have a pancake griddle! The owners are very nice and responsive. Highly recommend!!"

  • Tahoe Tranquility means relaxation!

"We booked this property for a much needed vacation. The actual property and house is just as beautiful as the pictures on the website. It's very private with a fantastic view of Lake Tahoe. Plenty of room to park which we needed because we invited friends for part of the stay. Our teenagers loved the downstairs game room complete with pool table and big screen TV. Landscaping of the property was quite nice which included a Bocce Court and play area for the youngsters. Unlike many rentals which can look worn and tired, this home was very nicely decorated with up to date style and comfort."

  • Great location, Great home!

"We would highly recommend this home away from home. Don't let the square footage fool you. We had two families stay very comfortably. The floor plan is a great use space; with two bedrooms and a full bathroom downstairs and a large master with a full bath up. Everything is updated, decorated nicely and extremely clean. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen has everything you will need. The wifi was a great bonus especially with teenagers ;) Great location; we walked to restaurants and miniature golf. Check out is so quick and easy. We will definitely come back!"

  • Amazing View!

"We were a little nervous about booking this unit since there were only a few reviews, but so glad we did! Unit is pretty much as the photos show. The lake really is that close! And nice, cool breezes off the lake. The kitchen/dining/living rooms are open to each other, with the living room's window right out to the deck & the lake. The other room with a view is the master (king) on the 2nd floor (own bathroom). There are 4 other bedrooms - none of these have views: one on the 1st floor (shares 1st floor bath) two others on the 2nd floor (one has a small patio - both share a bathroom), & a loft bedroom on the 3rd floor (up steep steps and shares 2nd floor bath). Plenty of cookware, dishes & glasses (some nice wine glasses, thank you) & even a wine fridge in the living room. Our cell service was spotty; wireless worked. The reason we give 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is dated and there are a number of maintenance items. Overall, the finishes and furnishings are dated. There are cracked and broken counter and floor tiles. There's carpet in the bathrooms (yuck). There was at least one towel bar that was being held in place with clear tape. There were no beach towels - very disappointing when you're right at King's Beach! There are notes all over warning you not to do this, not to do that - maybe we get that with the size of the unit and therefore the number of people that might stay, but for responsible people like us, it's a little off-putting. As is having to load and turn on the dishwasher and take the trash out to the dumpsters when you leave, but fine. We did not go to the pool, as it's a bit of a trek, has no parking, & is not heated (not any warmer than the lake). It does have a nice view of the lake, though. You can walk to King's Beach (again, a long-ish walk), and into town for meals or shopping, although none of those meals will be fancy. What we most enjoyed with the unit was eating in at night with a beautiful view, having cocktails on the deck at sunset. I also own a vrbo unit (elsewhere), and think that the maintenance/finishes, and the notes, are detractors to the overall experience (it would otherwise be a 5 star!). Luckily, the unit was available with only a month's notice when so many others were already long booked. We would come here again, as it was perfect for a small group of 4 women to celebrate their 50th birthdays in a beautiful location. Agate Bay (manager) was helpful, friendly by email, and responsive."
