  • Large house with beautiful view

"This house is lovely and the view is to die for. It has 3 bedrooms downstairs and one really large bedroom upstairs, along with a bonus "sleeping closet" of sorts, for 1 fifth single person -- right off the kitchen. The upstairs bedroom/playroom is ginormous and has 4 beds and a couch. A couple of useful notes: the bathtubs leave something to be desired, there isn't one bathroom that's like a sweet master bath or anything. The master bath has a half shower door that makes for kind of a cold shower (no way to keep the heat in). The hot tub is an older wood soaking tub, which was cool but a big pain to open up and access (there are 2 locks with very heavy wood slabs over it) and nearly impossible if those locks are frozen up, like in the winter. We had a power outtage which knocked the hot tub out for most of our stay, but that's nobody's fault. Note also that the driveway is quite long and if there's snow, you will probably be trapped until the plow driver comes. The neighborhood itself is very steep and treacherous unless you have snow tires. We had 4WD + chains and still had some hairy moments on the steep streets. All of that said, we still had a great time. The kitchen is well-stocked and we'll come back just for the amazing view."

  • C.B.

"My Brother and Sister in-law rented this place and asked my partner and I to come up, we live outside the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas,so it was nice to get away. It was a beautiful drive up, and I can say the minute we drove into the drive way I already felt at home!! A beautiful property, located in a very nice dog friendly neighborhood. You walk in and right away you feel relaxed, everything you need, even a nice bottle of wine waiting on the table such a nice touch. The home is very clean, bedrooms nice, and beds very comfortable. You wake up to the beautiful sunshine and the wonderful smell of pine trees. Lake Tahoe is conveniently located just a short mile away, the drive around the lake was beautiful, I had forgotten how gorgeous Lake Tahoe is!! Thank you for a wonderful get away to a beautiful property, great location and awesome surroundings.. Would do it again!!"

  • Breathtaking!

"I can't say enough how wonderful this home is! My *now* husband and I came here to relax and celebrate our honeymoon. The attention to detail and personal touches made it that much more special. The view off the front deck is absolutely stunning! The location is perfect, with so many shops and restaurants just a short drive away. We can't thank you enough Salomonsen family!!"

  • Beautiful property

"Overall, my family was floored by the quality and location of the property. Interior was gorgeous with top-of-the-line finishes and beautiful woodwork, not to mention the spectacular views from just about every room in the house. We had a lovely Thanksgiving there. Jacuzzi was a nice touch to watch the sunset each night with a glass of wine. Lots of additional touches that they thought of -- there were extra toothbrushes in the guest bathroom and it looked like they had just got a thermometer, baster, and twine for Thanksgiving specifically. Small things, but very much noticed! Few notes - we had only five people, so we fit fine. The downstairs sleeping area with the pull out sofa and bunk beads is more of an overflow area and not accessible from the interior of the home. You need to go outside and down exterior stairs to access the door. Great for teenagers, but I wouldn't be comfortable putting small children down there without an adult sleeping there too. Could also be difficult to access with snow. Road to cabin is a bit steep, but manageable in the snow with 4WD. I make these comments just as an FYI, as we absolutely enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again in the summer to get to enjoy the deck a bit more. Highly recommend!"
