  • Unforgettable Snow Weekend

"The Agate Redwood house was everything and more that my friends and I could have imagined! Tahoe ended up getting the most snow they've had in 10 years, and it was also the most snow any of my friends and I had ever seen on the slopes!!!! We will never forget this amazing experience. the house had labeling everywhere to show where certain items were located which was extremely helpful. The spa was a wonderful addition for after a long day riding at Squaw. Thanks again Peter and Darla for allowing us to stay here, everyone loved it!"

  • Well appointed and very comfortable

"We enjoyed this cabin for our family of three. It could easily accommodate 5 or 6. The kitchen was well stocked, it was nicely furnished, very clean and the beds were comfortable. We had the unfortunate experience of staying during two big winter storms. While the driveway was plowed by the rental company regularly, the city streets are plowed by the city/county which will happen... eventually... even with our SUV we missed our ski plans because we couldn't get past the driveway in the morning. I think the circumstances were unusual (3 ft of snow in 48 hours!). Other than that, I'd recommend without hesitation!"

  • Perfect for a ski weekend

"The short of it: Four of us stayed 2 nights this past weekend and were extremely happy with the townhouse. Sure, things inside are a little older, but who cares when you're in Tahoe? The pictures in the listing are very accurate of what you can expect. If you don't like the pictures, don't stay! We arrived at 10pm at night and the entry light was on and the house nice and warm already. So nice to walk in to after a long drive from San Francisco. Location: The rental is perfectly located near the lake and only a short drive from Northstar and Squaw/Alpine Meadows. You have a small, but still beautiful view of the lake from the balcony. Amenities: Loved the Bose speaker setup for playing music while hanging out inside. The community lodge is a short drive down the hill from the condo and was nice and clean, if a little "sterile" feeling. We only used the hot tubs in the lodge, but they were fine. +1 for being outdoors. They could be a little hotter. Cons: Toilet seat in the main bathroom could be replaced. Mandatory cleaning fee even if you leave the unit spotless. Someone is going to drop the door key down the grate outside the front door at some point. For some reason, the lockbox is placed directly above the grate and the key almost fell out of the lockbox and down the grate when we arrived the first night. Hopefully the owner sees this and moves the lockbox. Thanks for a great stay!"

  • Cute and cozy. Perfect for our family of 4. Rustic feel and fully stocked kitchen. Great location.

"This house was great for our family. Close to town, skiing and sledding. We loved the cozy rustic feeling, and we loved being able to bring our dog. It's perfect for a family of 4."
