  • Awesome house with awesome friends

"We all enjoyed our stay in Carnelian Bay! The house is right on 29 so it's really quick to get to places like Northstar. Oh and the house is STOCKED. Every kitchen utensil you could think of was there, which came in very handy for an epic chili dinner."

  • Awesome weekend retreat

"I went up with a group of girlfriends to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was a perfect retreat for us. Amazing location, the views are beyond breath taking. The décor is "kitchy" which we found to be adorable. Comfortable home with everything you could need for a weekend away from home. We spent our evenings on the deck, which is where you'll want to spend most of your time. Looking forward to the next stay!"

  • Grate location, fantasticviews, good amenities. Worth every penny!

"You certainly get what you pay for. SO what do you get? Exterior: -- North lake views from the master bedroom, living room, dining room and rumpus room. Forrest views from every other room. A pretty spacious deck with a gorgeous view. A hottub and BBQ on deck. We couldn't figure out how to get the exterior speakers working, but they're on the deck if the property owner ever wants to write up how to use them, that'd be awesome. Interior: -- Living room: - Basic directTV and basic internet / wifi access. Not fast (Email? Yes. Netflix, likely not) Decent surround sound system and Samsung flat screen TV. No terrestrial broadcast access, though, so if you're looking to catch a sports game, you're likely SOL w/ the basic DTV package and no broadcast access. A pool table and fireplace with convection fan... fantastic for heating the place up Plenty of uber comfortable couches / pillows / blankets. Dining / Kitchen: - Big dining table, seats many folks.... comfortably. A reasonably well stocked kitchen (linens, serving dishes, cooking instruments) Misc. Cooking spices / condiments donated by prior guests. A reasonably well stocked bar (Just like with the kitchen it's 100% donations / leftovers stocked, so if you find that you've still got 1/2 handle when you check out, please donate it!). Large island with it's own small sink and disposal (although, ours was mechanically broken; may be fixed when you read this... you can always use the main one on the main sink, too) If you're cooking for a group, you'll find that you're washing the same pots / pans frequently for each new dish. **beautiful** oven (with convection!) range top and a pretty powerful (read: quick, quiet and big) dishwasher that made cleaning up much easier. Bedrooms / Bathrooms - There are many, they're all quite nice. Comfortable blankets and linens. Plenty of towels (you'll be surprised how fast you go through them w/ the hot tub ...etc) Washer and Dryer are right off the kitchen, so it's easy to dry / warm / fluff your towel - Toilet paper did get scarce towards the end of of our trip. no obvious location where more was stored. -- A few other notes: Bit hard to spot at night. We did wonder aimlessly through a few neighboring driveways until finding it. The next morning, though, it was really clear what we did. Driveway may give your car trouble if wet or slippery... but this is something you should already know before coming to Tahoe! Will attempt to book again!"

  • Dancing bear den was comfortable & convenient.

"We had a wonderful family celebration stay @ the cabin. Sitting on the deck for coffee, cocktails, family game night while being able to enjoy the view of the lake through the trees was the best part. We were able to walk out kayaks down to the lake for a morning paddle easily. The cabins location between kings beach & Tahoe city made it simple to reach rafting, restaurants, & grocery stores as well as other popular Tahoe attractions. We had 4 adults & 4 "kids" aged 15-23 & we were pleasantly comfy in the cabin!!!"
