  • Great property, close to many activities, perfect for large groups/families

"Great property with lots of room. Well furnished. Great hot tub, steam shower, deck area, living areas smart wired property, sound system - etc. Owner was responsive when we contacted him about a few minor items that were missing (large pot and paper goods that were noted as included in the listing). The property manager working for owner was not as responsive or friendly, refused to speak live to us via phone and didn't bring the paper goods which was frustrating since this is an expensive property to rent. It's a nit but I expected to have good service paying so much. Again - those are small things - this is a great property. There is plenty of parking, large garage to stage all the Tahoe toys that make for your fun time on the beach and is located with ease of access to many great places to hang in Tahoe. Recommend to any large group or family!"

  • Comfortable Home with Lots of Room

"We rented the home at Dollar Point over a long weekend. The location was very convenient to get to Tahoe City and Squaw Valley. The home was very comfortable, well stocked, and cozy. Everything was generally well kept, but could use a deep cleaning where upper shelves/light fixtures were missed and visibly dusty/cobwebby. And although I totally understand that the home is in a wooden area and bugs are a given, the front porch was quite covered in spider webs. Some of the linens, fixtures, could use updating, as well as maybe some touch up paint here and there. The space is great and all 8 of us could spread out comfortably. Definitely would rent again. Property management was very nice and accommodating."

  • Good place to stay, poor internet.

"This was a nice home to stay in. If you decide to stay here, there are a few things you should be aware of: Things we liked: * Nice neighborhood and location. * Nice amenities. * Well stocked cabin (paper products, soap, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies) * Heated floors in bathrooms What we didn't like: * The internet connection is a very SLOW DSL connection. We were unable to get even 1 Mbps downloads. A couple of people on our trip needed to be in touch with work and were unable to. It was difficult to see resort web cams. Movie night for us consists of streaming from our Roku player. The video was choppy and very low resolution. * Ventilation. The stove island doesn't have an overhead hood. This resulted in poor ventilation in the kitchen. The popup vent that pulls fumes from the stove area doesn't do a good job and ends up disrupting the stove flames, resulting in unpredictable and inconsistent hot spots in your pans. It also doesn't help remove fumes from the oven area. * Access to the hot tub is through a guest's bathroom. If that guest is using the bathroom or showering, you can't get to or from the hot tub."

  • Great Location

"We loved our stay at this house. There were 4 adults, 2 children under 2 and 1 old dog. It was super close to get to Tahoe City (drive or bike ride) and Skylandia Beach & Park was right down the hill. Also, Sugar Pine Bakery is on your way to the beach and has amazing breakfast sandwiches and pastries that you can pick up and eat on a picnic bench over-looking the lake. The place itself had two levels, with living spaces and giant flat screen TVs, so our family could be separate from each other if needed. The hot tub is huge and very well maintained. Loved it!! The kitchen has everything you need and plenty of towels and linens. The bunk bed on the first floor could hold 4 adults! It was huge and awesome! All in all, the place was great, well kept, nothing fancy, but perfect for the price. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the house itself isn't the best for small children. The stairs are very steep to the second floor and the second floor deck has a space under the railing that made me nervous that my walking 1 year old could fall through. There is also, no fenced in backyard if you wanted your dog outside for a period of time alone. Other than that, we would definitely stay there again."
