  • Cozy spot (Detailed review)

"First time VRBO/AirBnB user here! I just want to say that it was a wonderful, clean, and affordable place to stay, however, it might not be exactly what I needed for my group this weekend. Some details and my opinion down below :) -SLEEPING ARRANGMENT: For adults, the triple story bunks may be a bit hard to get in and out of. Understand that don't expect 6 adults to sleep in there. Perfect for kids though! Luckily we were able to fit 3 on the King bed and there was an additional futon bed where someone slept. What was left was one person in each of the triple story bunk room (they crawled into the most bottom one). -INTERNET: was spotty. I'd say it did not work 70% of the time. We were instructed to call the service provider for troubleshooting and did so a few times. They recommended a technician to come out so hopefully that gets resolved. I know its vacation time, but some people may need to make calls, do homework, or even work remotely. This frustrated some of us. -KITCHEN: Had all the pots and pans we needed. There was left over soap and a few seasonings that we did use and did not need to buy. I do not recommend any heavy cooking like frying or grilling since the hood recycles the air back in instead of out. Moderate smell of food in the area. Equipped with dishwasher, garbage disposal in sink, plenty of silverware and bowls/plates, etc. -LIVING/DINING ROOM: Very spacious couch for hanging out. We did hook up the Wii so there was standing and moving room for that as well. Spacious dining table for food and board/card games. -DECK: Nice small propane grill, deck kind of narrow so hard to fit more than 2 if hanging out there. If BBQing, one person will be grilling and then bringing food inside to eat. (If I want to BBQ, I would chose a place with a bigger/wider deck maybe with bench/table seating as well.) Don't leave the door open long! There are flies and wasps(I think) ready to come in! -HOT TUB: Straight forward, easy to operate, already heated, spacious and comfortable. -BATHROOMS: only 2 located infront of each bedroom (enter in sink area before bedroom). Toilet and shower has door to close separately. Not sure if this will be adequate if you have the maximum 12 people (between taking turns to shower and using toilet). Well equipped with hand/face & bath towels. I would definitely rent again, however, will need more careful consideration first. Based on 12 people max, this place is best for 1-3 families with kids V.S adults only."

  • Lovely Home!

"This is not a cabin - this is a wonderful home. So many personal touches that were welcoming. Loved the serene setting and watching the golfers search for their lost golf balls was amusing! Our 2 year old grandtwins loved the deck and we loved that we could block off the stairs and have a fairly safe setting for them to wander in. Little George loved helping Grandpa look for golf balls, but mostly sticks! Great location for both Lake Tahoe and Truckee. Dairy Queen (Truckee) - something we don't have here in the SF bay area - was a treat for my DQ loving hubby. We cooked all our meals and found the kitchen to be very well equipped. Loved the high end appliances and all the great cooking utensils. Susan and Aprylle were great hostesses! We hope to come again. Thank you for a stress free week and comfy beds!"

  • Perfect location, perfect condo at Northstar

"This is really the perfect place to stay at Northstar. The location can't be beat – we literally skied to our front door today. It's super easy and convenient to stash skis in the handy ski lockers downstairs, and it's nice to be right in the hustle and bustle of the village. Since the unit is high up on the 5th floor, we found noise from the village wasn't an issue and the views were great. The underground parking is really nice too, and makes loading in/out a breeze, especially if it's stormy out! The unit itself is gorgeous (seemed nicer then the pictures) and I was nicely laid out. The full kitchen, with everything you need to cook a big meal, was great, and hanging out after a day of skiing in front of the fireplace was nice. Beth was super helpful around checkin and checkout, and always answered questions quickly. I think this condo represents great value for what you get too. We'll be back for sure, and I really can't imagine staying anywhere else! This one is perfect."

  • Great location, nice condo

"This condo is perfectly located - just behind the village and gondola in the Ski Trails condo area. You can walk to the village in <5 minutes even when hauling your skis and your kids skis... It's an end unit that has a nicely updated kitchen and living room with all you need to cook there, and an easy check in and check out procedure and prices that certainly beat the village condo prices. The website represents it well. We'd certainly stay here again in the future!"
