  • Great place, great location.

"Flew the family in from upstate New York to meet our newest grandchild Christmas week. The location was perfect. Conveniently close to town, restaurants, Donner Pass, and the ski areas. Great place to rent for families. Very kid friendly with plenty of room. The owners were great to work with. Extremely flexible and responded quickly to all correspondence. This home is my first choice for the next trip, which is already in the planning stages! I highly recommend this rental and encourage you to check it out."

  • BIG family had a good time!

"The 4 days/5 nites were fine... Our 1st time @ Donner Lk. (for 40 years before it was No. Shore Tahoe annually). The house for 8 adults & 5 kids (5 yr. to 9yr) was great, lots of room(s). A good idea would be to move your 2 BBQ's out on the deck with the eating table.... more "social" for the cook, still close to the kitchen. Instructions for the Kurig coffee maker would help.... my son has one at home, but he couldn't get yours to work. Also the house was a little short of bath-towels for showers, & baths for kids. etc. W e spent an afternoon @ the Donner Memorial, all other afternoons swimming, one day @ a near-by pool & remainder @ the Lake. Nice beach, with no rocks, life guards available & swimming area roped off..... a couple of my guests went kayaking. Also the hot tub was great, tho instructions in French! Our short time there was very relaxing over-all! (That's what we wanted...) Thanks much Rebecca for all your attention! Nice time for all! Abigail"

  • Well stocked home, perfect location

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. Ed was terrific with communication. You can tell his home is well kept and maintained. Have stayed at many rentals in the Truckee area and have never found a home as well stocked as this. From the expected pantry staples and pots, pans, etc. to the crock pot, popcorn popper, and baking supplies, if you need it this home has it available. The rooms were very nice with comfortable beds. Lots of extra blankets around if needed and an abundance of extra towels available. Really appreciate the small extras that often would be overlooked. The hair dryers, step stool for smaller children in the bathroom, and the first aid supplies. At one point we needed to utilize the first aid supplies and this is definitely something you don't fully appreciate until you need it. We did experience some harsh weather and lost power for a day during our stay. Thankfully the wood stove worked very well and kept us very warm (overly so at times), definitely no risk of being cold during a power outage. With such an amazing area right outside the back deck there wasn't much time to dwell on the lack of power. Everyone spent the day making snowmen and building and perfecting some pretty impressive sled runs, complete with banked turns. Already there is talk about how we can improve these next time. We will definitely be back, thank you Ed!"
