  • Love this Cabin!

"There are so many cabins to choose from in this area and I am so happy we chose the right one! The accommodations were clean, organized & cozy. The cabin was fully equipped with classic movies, books, children's toys, toiletries and a perfect kitchen set-up to make meals. We chose this place as our first family vacation and it was the perfect spot to make memories and it exceeded our expectations. It is located very close to a cute little market, dining and the town of Truckee's main strip-good for food, candy, clothing, toys, and shopping. Also, close to a lovely natural market for juices and bubble bath to use in the master suite jacuzzi tub. I recommend this cabin for families and/or a romantic getaway. The owners of the cabin are very lovely to work with and they have information there to make your stay feel very comfortable. I will use this cabin again for future visits:)"

  • Well equipped cabin,

"We had a large party of ten, so knew going in that one would be on the floor. The family room and tables (inside and outside deck) had seating for 6 to 8, but we just took a couple of chairs outside for meals. The kitchen was well-stocked. Though there was no air conditioning (unheard of in my state of Florida), the inside temp was pleasant indoors with all of the windows open and fans going. We drove over to Tahoe (25 minutes) the first two days and the last day we checked out Donner Memorial Park and Donner Lake. I think we probably had as much fun jet skiing and renting boats at Donner as we did at Tahoe. My husband used the clubhouse and amenities, and with the provided passes, there was a $6 daily entrance fee. He and our son enjoyed swimming in the heated outdoor pool and playing basketball. We all gathered to watch a movie (there was quite a selection along with a DVD player) one night, and frequently the men were shooting pool downstairs in the basement. A good stay."

  • Cute and comfy summer retreat

"I spent 12 days as a single in this little condo and really enjoyed my stay! The condo itself was clean and well appointed. Everything I used worked and was as described. I loved the Tahoe Donner amenities using the marina, renting kayaks, swimming and also the fitness center where I took several classes. With all the amenities that Tahoe Donner offers, a single woman far from home never lacked for safe secure activities to keep me busy. Hiking and biking trails galore would satisfy the more adventurous types. Truckee is the quintessential western town, Don't miss Truckee Thursdays where they close the main streets and have entertainment and shopping from local artisans including food trucks! The location was close to Lake Tahoe yet away from the congestion that can keep you in traffic on the west and South shores of the lake. Donner Lake though smaller is lovely and clean, surrounded by the high Sierras. Donner Pass nearby provides stunning vistas and interesting history. Previous reviews suggest that this area is great for skiing, but I would contend that the location is perfect for a summer vacation. Temps in the mid eighties during the day, and in the fifties at night made for for good sleeping. In all I had a wonderful restful break and visit with family in the area. Sara was great to work with responding immediately to emails, adding a night for me and returned my security within 24 hours of departure.A complete binder with local information was very helpful. I will not hesitate to rent this unit when I come visit again!"

  • Great spot for a crew, beautiful vista's, responsive host

"Vladimir was very helpful and this is a good spot to bring a bunch of people together. When it says it sleeps 40, that's with every queen/king bed having double occupancy, and most rooms would have multiple beds per room full of couples so take that into consideration when planning. I mean, if you are planning a swinger's party like the house next door was while we were there, that's probably ideal. We had a bachelor party, but it wasn't weird at all because we had only about 26 guys, and didn't all try to cram into the hot tub, steam or dry sauna's all at once (which a swingers party might attempt, but i'm totally throwing darts here i've never been invited to one... hint if you are reading this!). Anywhoo.... It's right on the mountain if you are there during ski season (or just a couple minutes drive or walk anyway). Worth it if you're looking for a place to host in the Truckee region."
