  • Spectacular View

"We have gone here twice for snow fun. They had 3 sleds available and kids can sled right out back down the hill 30 feet. The views are magical from 2 levels and the kids love the room with 2 beds. 2 Master Suites and incredible bathrooms-5 bedrooms in all. Minor-need a few more cooking utensils-whisk, scraper, etc. Definitely looking forward to going back!"

  • Perfectly located amazing house

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental is one that we'd love to come back to again and again. As a party of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids) + a small dog, we spent 4 nights in this property for the New Year's. Upon arrival we were impressed with the house and the views. Located at the top of a hill the house is almost all windows, patios and porches - wherever you look, you see an amazing view. The inside of the house felt like a brand new house: light wood panels on the ceilings and walls, cathedral ceilings, new furniture, clean carpet, big TV with Netflix, Roku and Amazon. There is a loft with 3 twin beds off the main living area. The loft has its own bathroom with a walk in shower. There is a bedroom suite on the main floor. Its bathroom has double vanities and a huge walk in shower. There is an office room and a guest bathroom on the main floor as well. The ground floor has 2 more bedrooms and a bathroom. Did I mention that almost every single room in this house has a slide door and a porch with direct access outdoor?! But what turned out to be the most pleasant surprise was the backyard. Being the last row of houses has the advantages of an unlimited backyard. We'd step right off the back porch and walk into the "wilderness". You go up for about 200 feet (the backyard is pretty steep) and you get to a hiking trail with breathtaking views. Having 5 kids under the age of 10 we've adapted a portion of that trail to a sledding area - tons of fun for the kids and adults as well. Being able to just dress the kids and walk 2 minutes to the sledding, have fun there as long as they wanted and return to a warm beautiful house within 2 minutes is a bonus that any parent of young kids understands."

  • Well stocked home, perfect location

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. Ed was terrific with communication. You can tell his home is well kept and maintained. Have stayed at many rentals in the Truckee area and have never found a home as well stocked as this. From the expected pantry staples and pots, pans, etc. to the crock pot, popcorn popper, and baking supplies, if you need it this home has it available. The rooms were very nice with comfortable beds. Lots of extra blankets around if needed and an abundance of extra towels available. Really appreciate the small extras that often would be overlooked. The hair dryers, step stool for smaller children in the bathroom, and the first aid supplies. At one point we needed to utilize the first aid supplies and this is definitely something you don't fully appreciate until you need it. We did experience some harsh weather and lost power for a day during our stay. Thankfully the wood stove worked very well and kept us very warm (overly so at times), definitely no risk of being cold during a power outage. With such an amazing area right outside the back deck there wasn't much time to dwell on the lack of power. Everyone spent the day making snowmen and building and perfecting some pretty impressive sled runs, complete with banked turns. Already there is talk about how we can improve these next time. We will definitely be back, thank you Ed!"

  • Decent property with helpful landlord

"The rental was a good value. We had outages so I suggest bringing matches with you. The garage had traction mats that were helpful if you got stuck in snow when going up the driveway. I suggest bringing a good snow shovel. There is only one in the garage. We could have used two during the big snow storms of this season. The bed in the master bedroom was not very comfortable, but it was adequate."
