  • Great Location!

"We were able to book extremely, last minute and were very grateful. The condo was equipped with everything that we needed. Pots, pans, towels, extra tissue paper. We loved being able to walk down to the private beach or take in the view from the second floor balcony. The private beach was great. So calm and not crowded at all. Breathtaking! Very convenient location. We could walk to Safeway, were minutes down the street from King's Beach. We'll definitely be back!"

  • Well Cared For

"We had a wonderful stay at Rhapsody Lodge. The house is in a great spot for both snow and lake fun. Marti and Gary were very helpful and their inviting home is full of charm (we loved the year in pictures book and history of the cabin). Rhapsody lodge is well cared for, as were we as guests!"

  • Cozy, Peaceful Home Away From Home

"Enjoyed two nights / three days at the cabin on Thanksgiving weekend 2016 -- perfectly timed, as we woke up Sunday morning to a winter wonderland (about 12" of fresh powder). The cabin itself is really cute, cozy, and rustic -- perfect for the six of us (4 adults & 2 kids) to hang out, play board games, watch TV, cook and share meals together without feeling like we needed more (or less) space. We felt very comfortable in the home, from the moment we walked through the front door. The living room was cozy (not too small – just right!), and the wood stove provided ample heat. Digital cable is available, but we opted to bring our ChromeCast for easy access to all our favorites. The kitchen was well equipped – it had every utensil, pot, pan, etc., that we could possibly need. We loved having access to the gas BBQ out on the deck -- we used it the night we arrived to make dinner. The deck was really spacious and surrounded by big beautiful trees, and the hot tub was perfect (especially while it was snowing!). The neighborhood was peaceful, with the cabin situated on a corner away from the main road (far from traffic, but close enough that we could get groceries, lattes, etc., within a few miles). The two downstairs bedrooms were good size with big, comfortable beds, and the kids loved sleeping up in the loft (where there were plenty of beds to choose from). There was a nice bathroom upstairs and another downstairs (shared by the two bedrooms). Plenty of warm blankets and fluffy pillows were provided, along with several throws (which we used when snuggling up to watch movies at night). We REALLY appreciated having a washer/dryer in the cabin. With all the time we spent playing in the snow, we ran several loads in the dryer to defrost the cuffs of our pants! Another bonus: The house is situated on a bit of a hill – which meant we could step right outside our door, carve out a path in the fresh powder, jump into snow saucers (found at Safeway down the street for $16.99), and slide down the hill over and over again. The kids absolutely loved it! The owners were extremely responsive and very pleasant to work with, from start to finish. I would not hesitate to rent this cabin again in the winter months -- though it might not be ideal in the hottest summer months, since there does not appear to be air conditioning. The bottom line: If you’re looking for a peaceful, cozy home-away-from-home where you can escape the crowds, this is it."
