  • Better than 5 Star Hotel!

"We have friends with cabins in Old Greenwood so thought we would check it out. We were blown away by the accommodations. We had 8 teenage boys with us and it was perfect. Loved the game room with the pool table. We could close the doors and relax by the fireplace or fire pit outside while they had their own space, too. The long dining room table was awesome, as well. We ate together and it was also the perfect spot to play cards with everyone. The amenities were top notch - The heated floors, comfortable beds, lovely furniture, huge kitchen, entertainment space, fire-pit and so many more. The pavilion was convenient and not far from the house. The shuttle to and from Northstar was extremely nice to utilize with such a big group. We will definitely be back!"

  • Fabulous!

"Our family of 11, grandparents to a new-born baby had a wonderful time here. There was plenty of space, everyone was happy and we cooked some great meals here! This was our first time to Old Greenwood and we would certainly recommend it to our friends. The early autumn was gorgeous there!"

  • A big, beautiful house

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nicely sited with a woodsey feel. Large rooms and lots of them. Modern and up to date. But zero amenities. Why, for a multi-thousand dollar stay the house couldn't be supplied with the soap, shampoo and conditioner you would find in the most minimal hotel, I don't understand. But to be sure, we would return. A key to our successful stay was the Club with its multiple swimming pools that the kids loved."

  • Excellent home that's poorly managed

"The Lookout Lodge is an amazing home. Almost every aspect of it is top-notch. My only complaint is the way it's managed. Unfortunately, the owners don't have a local contact person in case of trouble. We had trouble with the AC and ended up having to contact and meet the repairman ourselves. The AC repairman found that the filters were completely clogged and that one of the main units was electrically disconnected. We ended up spending part of our vacation dealing with repair folks...not what I had in mind. In general, the house was clean except for the wood floors. It was pretty clear those floors had not been cleaned thoroughly before our stay. A minor annoyance was that the icemaker didn't work. All these things point to poor management. A huge new home is being built next door. The noise and worker parking was a minor inconvenience. I would recommend this home, but be sure to ask the owner about how the home's been maintained prior to your stay."
