  • Spacious, fun filled, family vacation home!

"The online description does not even begin to describe how wonderful this home was for a bunch of kids (age 1-10) and their parents. The upstairs kitchen space is a great room so we moms could cook and see the kids when they were upstairs and serve them quickly at the huge dining table. Then the kids could descend to the lower floor and play for hours with the endless toys. There's a room off one of the downstairs bedrooms with an air hockey table and foosball table. Even grandma played with the kids there! So fun! We didn't even get around to using the hot tub and ping pong table. There's even sleds for use. After we had a snowfall the kids played for hours just around the woods of the house so we didn't even have to leave. Downtown Truckee is a quick five minute drive down the hill with great shops and THE best organic grocery store (New Moon) is also five minutes away. There's also a Safeway nearby. The house is very local, some of the things we did: Donner Summit sno-park - AMAZING - about 20 minutes away; Northstar - 25 minutes by local roads, Squaw and Alpine are also closeby, the lake at Tahoe City at Commons Park was amazingly fun on a sunny, cold day. If you need a house for a big group and a bunch of kids this is the place."

  • Amazing Stay

"My kids, husband and mom stayed at this magical place this weekend and it is truly special. Three full bathrooms and three bedrooms is wonderful. Ground floor unit is great for kids, the location is unreal. I am logging on to see if I can book for next year! Mom and I didn't ski and we never left the Village and still had a great time. The best part about the location is when I forgot my son's tickets for ski school and it took me all of 10 minutes to walk back and get them and return (while he sat and waited for me). If Northstar is your mountain-it doesn't get much better than this!"

  • Spacious and comfortable house - perfect for multiple families

"We stayed in this house over President's Day Weekend with 8 adults and 7 kids (ages 3-9). The house is super comfortable, modern and well-maintained. The bathrooms were clean and stocked with towels and amenities such as lotion, shampoo and hair dryer. We had more than enough bedding for all of us. Tons of helpful items in the kitchen, including the Nespresso, pans for baking brownies, storage containers, even a wine cooler! The house is quite spacious and the kids had a blast playing pool, foosball, playing board games in the great room, and watching a video together downstairs (while the parents chilled out upstairs!). The long counter was perfect for pre-skiing breakfast and the long dining table for two dinner seatings of kids and adults. The laundry/entry was so helpful for stacking all of the post-skiing clothing and accessories. That weekend had epic snowstorms and road conditions, where we experienced two power outages. The house had a shovel we could use for cleaning the driveway (in between the daily snowplow). We also found candles to help when the power was off. The owner was very helpful with advising us on the power outage. She was also flexible when I-80 was closed and we would have needed to stay later than our reservation (we ended up leaving the day we planned once the highway opened). The house's location in the Tahoe Donner complex can't be beat, given its proximity to the highway and downtown. We particularly enjoyed one day not making the trek to Alpine and instead skiing at Tahoe Donner. Overall, we had a memorable and enjoyable weekend."
