  • Great Family Get Away Unit

"Unit was large and conveniently located. We had a Thanksgiving family get together, with 3 couples and 4 kids and the layout and space was perfect for our group, loft with trundle perfect for kids. We cooked turkey dinner and the kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of dishes and even an electric hand mixer. Firewood was provided too! Unit well maintained, not fancy- but very homey and comfortable. End unit with privacy and great views of forest. There was about a foot of snow overnight, and parking lots and roads to main street were plowed early enough for us to get out on time. Would stay here again, great deal for size of unit."

  • Excellent place for a group to stay

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were a group of 4 small fmailies (4 couple and 4 kids) and booked this place for the labor day long weekend. It is such a clean and spacious place to stay and enjoy the beautiful Truckee. It has everything it is described in a good shape and the price is reasonable for the quality of the house."

  • Perfect location, perfect condo at Northstar

"This is really the perfect place to stay at Northstar. The location can't be beat – we literally skied to our front door today. It's super easy and convenient to stash skis in the handy ski lockers downstairs, and it's nice to be right in the hustle and bustle of the village. Since the unit is high up on the 5th floor, we found noise from the village wasn't an issue and the views were great. The underground parking is really nice too, and makes loading in/out a breeze, especially if it's stormy out! The unit itself is gorgeous (seemed nicer then the pictures) and I was nicely laid out. The full kitchen, with everything you need to cook a big meal, was great, and hanging out after a day of skiing in front of the fireplace was nice. Beth was super helpful around checkin and checkout, and always answered questions quickly. I think this condo represents great value for what you get too. We'll be back for sure, and I really can't imagine staying anywhere else! This one is perfect."

  • Convenient location, great house, great value!

"We have rented in north Tahoe/Truckee many times in the winter, and this house was one of the best, especially for the price. It has a great layout with a large open space between the kitchen/dining/living area, so it easy to visit but lots of room to spread out. There are 2 bedrooms good for couples, and a "bunk" room with a bunk and a trundle plus a full bed, so you could fit 3 kids plus 2 adults or 4 kids, or even 5 kids if 2 shared the big bed. There is also a great loft area that is very separate from the rest of the house that has 4 beds, which our kids loved. They proclaimed it the "adult free" zone and spent a lot of time up there together. We also enjoyed the pool table up there. The bathrooms must have been recently remodeled, and the master bathroom had a very nice shower with 2 shower heads. It was very nice to have 2 other bathrooms in addition to the master. The hot tub was great and must be pretty new - all the nobs and controls actually work and the jets were very strong. It was only a few steps off the living area. We also took advantage of the house backing up to open space and hiked, snowshoed, and went sledding. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of dishes and all the little things you need (salt, pepper, spices, etc). We all agreed it was the best stocked, but not overstocked (leaving plenty of room for our own groceries and stuff) kitchen we had seen. It snowed over a foot one night while we were there and someone was there plowing the driveway early the next morning and came again at the end of the day after another several inches. The only complaints we had (very minor ones) were that 1) there isn't a mud room or even any closet or any hooks to hang up jackets/ski stuff if you come through the front door (which is how we mostly came and went). 2) the street in front of the house wasn't plowed for over 24 hrs, but all the other streets were, which meant having to put on chains for driving a half block to the plowed roads. This house is great for 2 families with kids. If you have younger kids, the bunk room is great, and for older kids the loft area is perfect. For the price, there were no other properties that came close to being as nice as this one. I would highly recommend it. I also think it would be great year round b/c of the proximity to open space, multiple ski resorts, town, Donner Lake, groceries."
