  • Quiet condo within walking distance of beach

"The condo was nicely stocked with linens and kitchen supplies, although we had to pick up laundry detergent to start a load at check-out as they request in the instructions. The propane tanks were empty so we were unable to use the outdoor grill, but the property manager responded quickly to our complaint and assured us that they would correct the situation prior to the next renter's check-in. Overall it is a nice quiet condo, with a pool and beach both within walking distance. Would stay here again."

  • Perfect location and accommodations for family vacation

"When I started to look at VRBOs in the Tahoe area, I realized that it was challenging to find rentals with multiple beds. This three bedroom rental had twins in two of the rooms which perfectly facilitated our two daughters and our two granddaughters who were going to be staying with us. The architectural design of the condominium was such that we had views of trees and mountains from every window. We also appreciated that the sleeping accommodations were on the lower two levels and that our shared living space was on the top floor. I am a regular VRBO renter who values cleanliness and a comprehensive kitchen. (I actually enjoy cooking, even on vacations!). This rental certainly met my expectations in this regard. While we were not familiar with Northstar, we soon discovered that the location provided us with easy access to Tahoe's many beaches (e.g. King's Beach, Sand Harbor, Emerald Bay and Donner Lake). Our grandchild delighted in the Recreation Center and spent many hours swimming in the pools, participating in the arts and crafts activities and even playing ping pong/air hockey during an afternoon thunderstorm. The proximity to Truckee (6 miles) made it easy to scoot over to Safeway for groceries. We were regular users of the BMX park in Truckee and noted that a Raley's is scheduled to open which will be even more convenient. The shuttle service to the Village would be a great asset during the winter months! Thanks so very much to our hostess for sharing her lovely vacation home with us!"

  • Relaxing time with a beautiful view of the lake....

"Kate has a darling cabin with the most amazing view! I was able to take my best friend, my labrador - Shawnee with me on this first single vacation without my late husband. We loved the neighborhood and took many walks. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to sit on the deck and see the boats on the lake! The cabin was perfect for us and had all we needed. We look forward to making this an annual "renewal" trip for us."

  • Great house, wonderful amenities!

"The Gingerbread Cottage was just perfect for our stay. The amenities, including kayaks and bikes, were an added bonus and made our stay that much more enjoyable. We hope to return next summer."
