  • We shall return!

"What a delight! This cabin was perfect for us. I went with my adult son for a few days of skiing. We have limited time to spend together and this cabin gave us exactly what we needed. We had privacy without losing the cosiness. The owners personal touches show what caring people they are. I feel like I know Cari! She was so warm and personal in our emails and our one conversation. Our thanks to VRBO and the Salzman family for sharing their treasure."

  • Great location!

"I would highly recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for a cozy cabin in a great location! I had the best experience working with Valerie. She was quick to respond to emails and always available for questions when I called. The cabin was neat and very clean! Great location to South Lake Tahoe attractions. Perfect for hiking, a day at the lake, or walking around South Lake Tahoe and just taking in the sights. This cabin was in the perfect location close enough to anything we needed but far enough away from all of the congestion of the holiday weekend. I will definitely be back!! Overall it was a very pleasant experience."

  • Great Summer Rental Home!

"My husband and I brought four teenagers to this amazing house and had a wonderful time! There was room for everyone to either spend time together or get plenty of elbow room to be alone. It felt like the owners had thought of everything when creating this lovely rental...lots of towels, extra blankets and pillows. There was a new sponge for cleaning dishes and brand new bars of soap for the showers, as well as laundry soap and a spare propane tank for the BBQ. Everything worked nicely, and there must be a nice water heater because even after all 7 of the others taking a shower I was still able to get a nice hot shower myself. The owner had a lot of great tips, suggestions and websites she offered about our visit. Echo Lake is very close to the house, and has a really nice trail that is part of the Pacific Crest Trail. It was really fun to cross paths with so many serious hikers! Afterward, we grabbed the water taxi back down to our starting point and were able to grab some food at the store. We also kayaked on Echo Lake because it was so much more serene than Tahoe. It was an awesome experience! Very peaceful and of the few people we passed on the water, everyone was very friendly. That might have been the highlight of our trip! One of the best things about this house was being away from the busy-ness of South Tahoe but still being able to get to things easily. We rented a boat at Camp Richardson, visited the Tallac Historic Site and spent some time at The Shops at Heavenly Village, all without feeling like we had to drive that far. All in all, a great location and a really well maintained rental house to call home for your Tahoe adventure."
