  • Cozy family home, a kid's haven!

"Kathy is very warm person and great in helping us through the reservation process. Her house is so cozy for the Tahoe winter, it has a true home feel to it. Our 9 year old daughter and two friends had a blast in this kid friendly house. They slept on the attic space with sleep bags by themselves, it's like a girls sleepover, they had so much fun. The hill slope next to the house is a great place for them to do sledding. We adults have enjoyed the hike along the creek and the hot tub so much! Would love to return sometime again."

  • Outstanding Property!

"Our group of 8 had a fantastic time at the cabin! Jim and Dee are absolutely delightful and usually respond within 24 hours of messaging. It truly felt like home. Coffee pot, blender, microwave, stove/oven, charcoal grill, hot tub, the works. I love to cook and not having to worry about the little things like pots pans and oven mitts was so nice. (I re-organized the spice cabinet/pantry, I hope you don't mind!) There was a little street farmers market around the corner that's held every Friday in the summer I believe. The shed in the back had a leftover ice chest we were able to use for the beach! The cabin has a huge lot for parking which worked out great as our group all came in separate cars at separate times. We walked to the beach front in about 10 minutes! Also, super convenient to the strip for many restaurants, casinos, and nightlife. Zephyr Cove was about 5 miles, but if it's during a surge, I would NOT recommend Uber/Lyft. 5 miles was $40 on one car and $80 on another car 10 minutes later. (between 75% - 125% surge) Overall, we all had a wonderful time and would definitely rent from Jim and Dee again. Thank you both!"

  • Cabin by the lake

"The cabin was located in the perfect spot in South Lake Tahoe. We stayed there 7 days, October 5-12, 2016 with our two adult children and their spouses and children. The cabin was adequate for all of us. We enjoyed the hot tub, bicycles and the short walk down to the beach. Sitting in the family room looking out at the lake at all times during the day was priceless. We enjoyed the cabin so much we made a reservation again for the summer of 2017. Frank met us on the day that we checked in, he gave a short tour in and around the cabin. He was repairing the pump in the hot tub at the time of checkin. We did have a problem with the kitchen stove, the oven failed to ignite, we advised Frank he checked the stove and immediately discovered the problem. He replaced the stove with a new one within the next day. I was impressed with the service Frank provided. It shows the pride that Frank and Jeri take in the ownership of this vacation cabin. Outstanding!!"

  • Great location, needs some updates

"I picked this place by the location (1), by how many it would accommodate (2), and because it had a hot tub (3). The games were an added bonus that the kids initially were very excited about...until they realized they had better games on their iPads. Still, made the place unique. The neighborhood is quiet - almost too quiet for my 4 kids. The hot tub died on us after about 10 minutes first use - but management/maintenance came within a few hours and it worked flawlessly after that. The BBQ was a problem - we were able to get it to light just once, but never again after that. So resorted to indoor cooking. We initially had problems with the cable TV, but figured it out. Overall, this place worked out very well for the family 4 adults and 4 kids ages 4-13. There were 2 bedrooms and a bath downstairs, so grandparents didn't have to use the stairs. 3 bathrooms were plenty. The kitchen and all the utensils/cookware were great. It's old and floors creaked, especially when walking upstairs late at night. The furnishings (especially the bedding) could be updated. Location didn't disappoint - close to restaurants, shopping, Heavenly Ski Resort, lake access, hiking, rock climbing, etc. Fun fun fun. I'd recommend for groups of 8+ people."
