  • Great cabin for a weekend away

"I recently took the family up to see the snow and decided on Doug's cabin as the place we wanted to stay. The cabin is large with enough room to sleep 10 and offers amenities including a hot tub, TV, wifi, and all the cooking utensils you could possibly need- pretty crucial if you're trying to feed 5 kids without paying hundreds of dollars to take them out to eat each day. The cabin was clean and cozy with easy access to shops, casinos, and places to play in the snow. There was information about the area available and suggestions on places to go and where to buy a snopark pass, etc. In fact, my only complaint about the cabin would be that the mattress in the room I ended up sleeping in was pretty uncomfortable, but everyone else reported theirs to be perfect... one of them was even a memory foam mattress! I highly recommend this place, and the next time I go to tahoe, I'll be sure to check and see if it's available again!"

  • Tahoe Summer Vacation

"My family and I had a great time at the Tahoe Chalet. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood close to anywhere you want to go. The Casino's are about a 10 minute drive, and recreational activities are about 5-30 minute drive depending on what you want to do. The Chalet is very clean and well maintained. Even though the Chalet is a rental we all felt very much like it was our home while we were there. The bedrooms were spacious (beds were very comfortable; mattresses weren't too hard or too soft, but just right), and the kitchen was well stocked. We had a great time enjoying the bbq, horseshoes, tether ball, and the hot tub. Our family enjoyed hiking at Angora Lakes (go early in the morning so you are able to find parking), biking to Camp Richardson, paddle boarding, and enjoying a meal at the best Happy Hour in Tahoe; the Chart House. I had a question and contacted the owner who got back to me immediately. We met a couple of the neighbors who were very friendly. We'd love to stay at the Tahoe Chalet in the future and definitely recommend this home to others!"

  • Great Family Vacation Home

"Our family of 10 had a wonderful stay in this home. There are three decks and a hot tub which provides plenty of space for a large group. The main floor is spacious and the large kitchen was well stocked. The casinos are only 10 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Michael!"

  • Great spot for a big group, well-priced and good location

"My close friends and I have an annual Lake Tahoe trip, and we found this little spot online and were very happy with it. The size was great for 14 of us. The kitchen is nicely remodeled and well-stocked with utensils and pots/pans. The kitchen is a bit small, but it worked out for us. We cooked huge family meals for both of the two nights of our stay, so everything about it came in handy. The living room and dining area is a great size for our meals and for playing games and such. The location is less than 5 miles from Ski Run Marina as well I believe. It was a very short drive. I was happy with how many outlets there were in the house and the bedding was clean and comfortable. The barbecue is like-new as well and we got great use out of it. Owners are very quickly responsive and very sweet! We all loved our stay, but I had a few negatives that are not major, but should be addressed. The place gets a solid 5. I want to explain some downsides for the owners to fix, which is why the part below looks so long. Don't be alarmed by it. My only complaints are that there were a lot of spider webs in the bedrooms, there were holes in the ceilings of two bathrooms(where light fixture covers should be). I ended up sharing a bed with my friend and also sleeping on the couch one night since the room with the twin beds (french door adjoining room) was full of cobwebs. There were spider webs in the master bedroom part of that room as well where the queen bed is. We had to clear out a few before sleeping. In the master bathroom upstairs, there is a missing part to the overhead light so it is exposed and there is a ton of dust just sitting there. It looks like it could fall out of that ceiling hole at any moment; looked gross. The same goes for the first bathroom at the front entrance of the house. Cleaning people should inspect or come tidy up before each guest arrives, and if they do, then please have them do it more thoroughly because those spider webs were not hidden by any means and the ceiling holes in the bathroom were very unappealing. Those are honestly minor details though; this place is near-perfect and for the price and location, you CANNOT beat it; we would definitely return!"
