"We thoroughly enjoyed braving the biggest winter storm in ten years in this home. All the creature comforts were there, including a well-supplied kitchen (for chefs out there), an instant generator for when the power went out, a relaxing hot tub under a covered deck for storm-watching, and a fun space to keep the kids occupied with ping pong and other games.
As with all homes, this one had its flaws, all of which are normal things needing repair: the master fireplace was not working and the canned ceiling lighting leaked all over the kids' bathroom and bunk-beds on our last night there--not the best way to wake up or have to sleep. The hot tub had some ball bearings in the bottom and missing jet caps which can also be easily repaired and fortunately didn't impact the tub's functionality. The wifi was incredibly slow, but I blame that more on the storm than anything; it would be interesting to hear how it works mid-summer.
That being said, make no mistakes: this is a fantastic home with many luxuries--jet tubs, multi-headed showers, a poker table, two full-sized refrigerators, and more--and the views were awe-inspiring and photo-worthy every day, whether it was storming fiercely, sunny with blue skies, or an alpine-glow sunset reflecting pink hues on the clouds and lake."
