  • Highly Recommend; Comfortable, View!

"Our family had a wonderful time at the Williams House on Meeks Bay. The deck has sweeping views of Meeks Bay, where we spent each morning and evening eating, drinking and bonding. The fully stocked kitchen (a cook's dream) was fantastic, as was the Weber gas grill. It's a short drive to Tahoe City to food shop and dine out. We hiked, parasailed, kayaked and rode the bike trail to Squaw. Everything was within walking distance or a short drive away. Chris was great to work with, answered our questions in a timely manner, and sent back our deposit quickly. We are already planning next year's trip. If you're looking for a comfortable, well-appointed house in a fantastic area, look no further."

  • Great Summer Retreat for the Family

"We had a wonderful two-week stay at this property in July/August and found the house to be very comfortable for 8 sleepers. The upstairs living room, kitchen, and dining room are terrific open spaces for a group to socialize in. The bedrooms had a good amount of space and all had comfortable, sturdy, pine furniture with nice bedding. The windows upstairs have all been replaced and were very easy to open/close with new screens (the front door could use a screen for airflow). It was nice to have a garage to park 2 cars in. The wireless access was good & useful for those who had to check in to work. Great to have a washer and dryer too. We highly recommend this property, with a few small reservations. It is an older residence that seems to be a work in progress in some areas in terms of remodeling. A deck runs along the north/west sides of the house with amazing views of the desolation wilderness that we thoroughly enjoyed for dining, hanging out, & remarkable stargazing, but it needs repairs/replacement. We had a "no bare feet rule" since nails were sticking up and splinters lurked--an issue since we had both elderly and young kids staying, ranging in age from 3-91 (only a few stairs in helped with the latter). The afternoon and evening got pretty hot out on the deck and we found that closing the blinds at that time of day kept the house cooler. The wind blows off the mountains, so keeping shade umbrellas up out there is a tricky option. The downstairs seemed to be a later addition & tricky to get to from the spiral staircase, but a broader staircase outside provided access too. The shower head and stall in the downstairs bathroom were old and could use replacing. The sliding door in the downstairs master bedroom had a broken lock (though twisting hand lock was provided) and could use a better screen to keep the bugs out (the other door could use a screen too). Small things. One member of the party arrived first to tip us off that there were not that many towels, few closet hangers, a kitchen that could be better equipped (leaky drain under the sink too), and no broom, mop, or vacuum, to keep the floors clean. Easily remedied things, we could bring along or buy. The owners are very nice, responsive, and took care of business when we found some high ceiling lights out and that the neighbors had completely filled the outdoor trash cans on the day of our arrival. Thank you for everything & a really nice stay on the gorgeous west shore of Tahoe!"

  • Comfy Cabin with a View

"We were very fortunate to be able to rent this cabin at the last minute, and it did not disappoint. It was very convenient to the beach, and away from the hustle and bustle. We were a short drive to Tahoe City too. Meeks bay beach was extremely fun for our kids ages 7 and 10, easy to take Stand Up Paddles, and very easy to find parking ($10 per day). Crawdad fishing was a short walk down from the house too. If you are okay with about 4 TV channels and No Wifii, this place will have it all! Fully stocked kitchen. I noticed that they even had traps for the Bee's on the deck. Our friends cabin up the hill had a major BEE and Ant problem, this house was pest free! Thanks again for the stay!"
