  • Perfectly located

"My family and I loved our stay, there was plenty of space, home was clean and stocked. We couldn't ask for a better location, beach, hiking, shopping all within a quick drive."

  • Great home with amazing view and perfect for a family reunion

"This house was amazing for an expanded family of 7 adults and 2 toddlers. The house's bedrooms were split over 2 floors which was perfect for us. The upstairs had 2 bedrooms with a jack and jill bathroom which was perfect for my sister and I. The main level had 2 rooms with ensuite baths which were perfect for my sister and her husband and my niece and her family of 4 with 1 room left over with the hall bath for my other niece. The master was large enough for my niece to set up a pack and play and place a twin mattress on the floor for her 2 kids, with room to spare. The living room had a wonderful oversized sectional that fit our entire family with room to spare and the view was absolutely amazing. This house is on what I would consider to be the quieter side of the lake but close enough to South Lake Tahoe that you have access to grocery stores and restaurants. The deck was great and more than big enough for everyone to sit outside and with a glass surround that made it safe for my 1 and 3 year old great niece and nephew to run around and we didn't have to worry about them falling off. The house had a DVD player and a great selection of movies although my 3 year old nephew fell in love with Peter Pan and had to watch it 6 times! Since there were so few houses in the area it was dark enough to see the milky way and I was able to do some cool astro photography. There were only 2 things about this house that were minor inconveniences but not enough of an inconvenience that I would downgrade my rating of this house. 1st the kitchen was quite small compared to the size of the house but it was still functional and held all of the modern amenities that everyone loves including 2 coffee pots which is essential for my sister and her husband. The 2nd is the stairs to get up to the house. We are all from lower elevations so at 6500' we were all battling altitude symptoms and combine that with 4 flights of stairs made for a heck of a cardio workout. Overall this was an amazing house with an amazing view from every window, including a lovely view of the forest from the upstairs bathroom shower! It was a bit dis-concerning to step into the shower and be able to see out but there are no houses or people out there so I got use to it quickly although a bird scared the life out of me when it landed on branch outside. I would definitely recommend this house and I'd go back in a heartbeat...I would just pack less!"

  • Great Lakefront Ski Cabin For Homewood! Beautiful house and great sledding too. Highly Recommend.

"Thank you for a wonderful week. Beautiful house and grounds. I loved seeing the trees covered in snow filtering the beautiful blue-green color of the Lake just beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed skiing at nearby Homewood Resort, and also sledding from the house down to the shore of the Lake. Kids had a blast throwing snowballs and building Frosty (who we left for the next guests to enjoy). The house was just as described, and we were very happy with everything the owner provided. We would certainly return for another winter week, and also take you up on the offer to come in the summer."

  • A lovely weekend stay

"This was such a clean and cozy location. The weather was rainy and the road to South Lake Tahoe was closed due to a fire the night before, so we spent more time by the property than anticipated. We had a good time there. There is a lovely trail right out the back that goes straight to state park and national forest. The place had all the needed amenities for cooking meals and just being comfortable in general. I would return to again."
