  • Great views, lots of room & clean!

"Our family has been enjoying Water's Edge for over twenty years. We've rented several of the condos, and this was by far the nicest! The condo is spacious and offers spectacular lake views. It's conveniently located to the beach and pool. Bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen are large and well appointed. We hope to stay again next year!"

  • Great home with amazing view and perfect for a family reunion

"This house was amazing for an expanded family of 7 adults and 2 toddlers. The house's bedrooms were split over 2 floors which was perfect for us. The upstairs had 2 bedrooms with a jack and jill bathroom which was perfect for my sister and I. The main level had 2 rooms with ensuite baths which were perfect for my sister and her husband and my niece and her family of 4 with 1 room left over with the hall bath for my other niece. The master was large enough for my niece to set up a pack and play and place a twin mattress on the floor for her 2 kids, with room to spare. The living room had a wonderful oversized sectional that fit our entire family with room to spare and the view was absolutely amazing. This house is on what I would consider to be the quieter side of the lake but close enough to South Lake Tahoe that you have access to grocery stores and restaurants. The deck was great and more than big enough for everyone to sit outside and with a glass surround that made it safe for my 1 and 3 year old great niece and nephew to run around and we didn't have to worry about them falling off. The house had a DVD player and a great selection of movies although my 3 year old nephew fell in love with Peter Pan and had to watch it 6 times! Since there were so few houses in the area it was dark enough to see the milky way and I was able to do some cool astro photography. There were only 2 things about this house that were minor inconveniences but not enough of an inconvenience that I would downgrade my rating of this house. 1st the kitchen was quite small compared to the size of the house but it was still functional and held all of the modern amenities that everyone loves including 2 coffee pots which is essential for my sister and her husband. The 2nd is the stairs to get up to the house. We are all from lower elevations so at 6500' we were all battling altitude symptoms and combine that with 4 flights of stairs made for a heck of a cardio workout. Overall this was an amazing house with an amazing view from every window, including a lovely view of the forest from the upstairs bathroom shower! It was a bit dis-concerning to step into the shower and be able to see out but there are no houses or people out there so I got use to it quickly although a bird scared the life out of me when it landed on branch outside. I would definitely recommend this house and I'd go back in a heartbeat...I would just pack less!"

  • Beautifully restored log cabin perfect for a cozy and festive Thanksgiving!

"We enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday at this beautiful cabin- it was perfect for a group of 5 adults and five children ages 1-13. The kids had a blast and the cabin was the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable holiday with loved ones! Kids especially enjoyed the "play house" in the back!"

  • Cute cabin over Meeks Bay

"Older cabin, but well taken care of with a few updates. We only had 3 people staying there, so didn't use the basement bedrooms at all, however rooms were spacious, beds comfortable. The living room couch and bathroom rugs were quite worn, but soft and functional. The temperature had dropped quite significantly (first week of October, high in the 40's) so we used the wood-burning fireplace, but we could have just turned up the heat. Everything (kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, garage) was in working order, clean and accurate to the listing description. The owner was quick to reply and provided easy instructions for access, they also had a binder listing locations of local hikes, biking trails, restaurants, and various other things to do around town. The view from the cabin was perfect and from the back of the cabin, there's only houses below (so no worries about strangers peering the in the windows!) If you want to check out both the north and south side of Lake Tahoe, this is a great location to stay since it's in-between the two."
