  • Our Home Away From Home

"The Beach Cottage on The Peninsula is the perfect place to stay if you want a place that feels like home! My husband and I have stayed here 3 years in a row, for 30 days each visit. It is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and in a perfect location just steps from the bay and the ocean. It is centrally located for sightseeing in Southern California. Natalie went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. This charming cottage is private and has all the amenities that you could ask for, including everything you need for trips to the beach. It is within walking distance to the pedestrian and bike path which leads to downtown Long Beach. Also, very convenient to Belmont Shore's 2nd Street restaurants and shopping."

  • Basic but good

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was exactly as described, clean, no frills. Very easy check-in process. Walls were a little thin and could hear neighbors. Front patio not as private as advertised. Would have liked more towels provided."

  • Perfect family vacation

"We were looking for a large well kept home, clean and comfortable and fun for our immediate family reunion. This home was perfect in many ways: beautiful pool, large patio and BBQ area, state of the art sound system, game room, large family room, gourmet equipped kitchen, six bedrooms and five bathrooms. Maid service came in mid week. The place was CLEAN! it was fun to walk in the neighborhood and look at the beautiful houses - we are not from Southern California. The house was beautiful on the inside and the outside. I don't think this is the typical rental. The owner was very nice, sincere and accommodated our needs. Everyone had a great time and we would definitely consider renting again."

  • Perfect Long Beach Vacation!

"My family was in Long Beach for a dance convention. My older daughter and I would go to the dance convention each day while my husband and younger daughter would enjoy checking out Long Beach or playing on the beach in front of the condo. The condo was immaculate! It was SO clean, fresh and cool when we arrived! Air conditioning throughout was a major bonus although it was never oppressively hot out. The room darkening shades in the bedrooms made it easy for us to sleep well every night (which says a lot for a family coming from the mountains with NO neighbors, lots of dark and quiet). Street noise was not bothersome or noticeable to this mountain gal or my kids! The condo was well stocked with kitchen supplies (even tupperware and ziplocs!), beach towels, beach toys, beach chairs, beach umbrella, bath towels and hairdryers!! The view was unbeatable and we enjoyed having morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the beach. I saw other comments that the bathrooms need updating, but I guess I'm old school~I find the features in the baths charming and a statement to the character of when the building was built. Plus, you can tell the owners are working their way through updates throughout the unit and I wouldn't be surprised if bathroom remodels were coming sometime in the future. I, for one, was just fine with the bathrooms as they were very clean, had lots of towels and washcloths, and hairdryers. Mark and Lorrie were a joy to work with. Mark walked us through everything we needed to know at check in and really made sure we "got it" in concerns to parking, key codes, and helping maintain the building and our unit. The added bonus of laundry detergent and quarters for your first load was huge since we had just come from Disneyland and had lots of laundry to do. Mark also gave us some great restaurant and activity recommendations. Dinner at King's Fish House was a highlight. I went on several walks and always felt safe on the beach bath and around town. Lorrie was helpful and responsive to any questions or requests we had and I loved how quickly she always got back to me. With a great location on the beach, awesome amenities throughout, close to the convention center in a vivacious town at such a great price we are looking forward to coming back!!"
