  • Stylish home base when in LA...

"We loved our time at Glencoe Retreat - every detail, and I mean EVERY detail, has been so thoughtfully considered for the ultimate comfort and style. We had cooler climes than normal for LA and our vacationing spirits were not dampened, in part due to our warm welcome by Denny and Stuebe and also because the cottage became a cozy home base that we were happy to return to at the end of a day exploring. We loved the location - felt like locals in the hip hood - with Venice Beach a quick drive/bike ride away, and lots of insider reccos from our hosts for dining and coffee-ing.....we can't wait to return! Thanks, D & S!!!"

  • Quiet, studio on the 10th floor with a great view of the coastline and the city.

"A lot of history in this building. Very comfortable, easy to control ventilation with the windows and a central ventilation shaft. Huge front window and plenty of hot water for long showers and baths! Everything handy for a pleasant stay. We found a couple great restaurants within one block. Walking distance to everything we needed and bicycle renting two blocks down. Dan, has convenient free parking attached. The only drawback we noted, is there should be blinds or heavier drapery for those sleep-in mornings. Dan, is readily available for talk or text and whatever you may need. Hopefully we will get another reason to visit Long Beach soon and would stay again."

  • Very clean! Terrific.

"This place worked great for us. It was a unit, not a house (I don't know why we had that impression). We have two daughters who shared the full bed and put our teen son on the futon in the living room. We loved having a kitchen and used the bbq outside every night. The complex is older but well maintained, and super clean. It was driving distance to CSULB and Disney. Because of the sea wall the waves are super mellow, and would be good for folks with smaller children."
