  • Exquisite Place

"A group of friends and I were seeking a lavish view of Downtown LA, so we decided to go with this cozy home. Upon entering, we all raced to the bedroom, and luckily, I won't the master suite! Very comfortable setting, play room in case we were bored, and my favorite of all is the stunning view of the sunrise and sunset each day we were there. The infinity pool is painted with one of my fav colors— indigo. We all enjoyed chicken kabobs and grilled corn on the cob with the bbq grill that was provided. We all truly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend it."

  • Perfect rock history location

"This property is perfectly located in the birthplace of a lot of 60's and 70's music - an old hippies dream! Living room easily converts to nice dance floor, particularly if you are playing Eagles music!! Deck off the kitchen is a nice spot to have a glass of wine and try to spot deer on the hillside across the street. Beds and baths are comfortable, kitchen is well stocked, and parking is easy if you follow Kristie's suggestions (don't open driver side doors if ANY other car is coming). Convenient to attractions such as Griffith Park, Farmer's Market, Santa Monica Pier (the end of Route 66), Beverly Hills, San Fernando Mission, Universal Studios, Hollywood Bowl, Greek Theatre, Gene Autry Museum, J. Paul Getty Museum, Burbank Airport (do yourself a huge favor and use Burbank if you are flying in - LAX is a nightmare) and much more. Canyon Country Store down the block is fantastic, but suggest you make the walk in daylight. If you are not familiar with traffic patterns in Los Angeles, you might want to consult a local because time and direction of travel can be made more difficult than necessary by LA's legendary traffic. If you want the feel of being away from it all, while at the same time staying smack in the middle of LA County, this is your place. There were 4 of us - two couples, one American, one British, both products of the 60's and 70's. We had a blast pretending we were rubbing elbows with rock legends. You will too. Only caveat is the need to carry suitcases up quite a few stairs. If you are physically challenged this might be difficult. We're all in our 60's and we managed just fine."

  • Cute and secluded home...

"We had a wonderful time at this home. Lots of turns to get to the house, but it was definitely well worth it. Esther provided easy directions and she was very accommodating, allowing us to check in 3 hours prior to the 3PM check in time that was scheduled. We spent most of Saturday out and about, only to return late in the evening to a huge pile of trashbags someone had thrown outside the house, next to the trash bins. I contacted Esther and she was there the next morning to take care of it. The home itself was a cozy 2-story house. There is only 1 other house across from it (mirror reflection of this house). The view from the deck in the evening was so lovely.. as crazy as LA can be at night, the house seemed like it was up in the mountains, away from the crazy city life. There are little to no street lights and you have some amazing views of the stars. While it may have been in need of more toilet paper (no extra rolls so we went to buy some), trash bags, or towels, our actual stay itself was wonderful. Thank you Esther for making our stay pleasant! Looking forward to our next trip down south!"
