  • Perfect New Year's Rental, Great Location

"My husband and I stayed here for the New Year's holiday and the Rose Bowl game. Check in was very easy, as is parking ($20/day behind the building). The photos represent the apartment well. It is an older building, but with lots of charm which we liked. Large closet and kitchen area. Very clean, and kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, dishware, etc. Walking distance to Pasadena restaurants, bars, Cal Tech, Rose Bowl, Colorado Blvd is just 2 blocks away which was very convenient for the parade. I would definitely stay here again, Angelique was wonderful to work with--we even got a bottle of champagne and box of chocolates at check in--what a nice surprise!"

  • Bucket list - checked!

"We stayed at this home for the Rose Bowl parade. What a wonderful location. We were able to walk to our parade seats, while observing the floats lining up on our street. The night before several horse carriages were being decorated right outside our living room window. All this and still a quiet stay. House was perfect for our girl's getaway. Beautiful gardens in both front and back. Mountains in the background. Very clean. Welcomed with a bottle of bubbly - perfect for our New Year's Eve celebration. A short trip from Burbank airport. We Uber'd everywhere and had no issues with transportation. Could have walked many places if the weather was better."

  • Rose Parade Stay in Lovely Alhambra (Pasadena) Apartment

"Four of us stayed at the town home in Alhambra and enjoyed the stay very much. The home itself is wonderful, nicely decorated, new and well appointed. The welcome basket and wine were very 'welcoming'. The home has some minor quirks but they were easily handled by us. There were plenty of essentials and necessities (towels, cutlery, dishes, detergents, etc.) in the home for our use. The area where the property is located is not the best (why it's only 4, not 5 stars) but the home itself makes up for it. We did some walking in the area and felt comfortable. The ability to park the car in the garage was great. Getting in and out was not an issue and the drive to Pasadena is short and direct. LA itself, well...LA is traffic central, right? NOTE: (NOT RELATED TO THIS RENTAL) If coming here for the Rose Parade and/or Bowl, do NOT take the transit bus. The Metro ran on a holiday schedule, and it seemed all the bus drivers were on holiday ;-) Strongly suggest taking a cab OR driving and reserving a parking spot. We tried the bus but ended up taking a taxi as no buses showed up even though the Metro app showed buses due to arrive, they never did. Taxi from here is about $15-$20 to Colorado & Fair Oaks. Reserved Parking is about $25-$30 in Old Pasadena close to Colorado Blvd."

  • Comfortable and Colorful Home

"We stayed at this colorfully decorated house for 10 days during the Thanksgiving holiday. It is in a neighborhood great for walking. The local architecture and landscaping is fun to view. The house has all the needed amenities - large couch, extra chairs, large dining room and separate kitchen. The three bedrooms are outfitted with comfortable beds and both bathrooms are modern. We spent most of our time at our daughter's near by house, so we didn't use the outside space, although it appeared very pleasant. The house is heated via one very large vent in the living room. It does a good job in the shared spaces, and space heaters ensured that the bedrooms were toasty during a couple of cool nights. A breakfast nook for 3 or 4 was especially nice with great light and a view of the neighborhood. A car would be helpful for grocery shopping and for getting into town, although the area is well served by Uber. The home owner was very responsive to all our inquiries. We'd definitely stay here in the future."
