  • The CLASSIC mountain cabin!

"This property is indeed cozy; it is the classic mountain cabin of your imagination. The interior is wonderfully decorated with old-time artifacts that fit the setting perfectly, and add to the warm coziness. Our family of eight was comfortable and very much enjoyed this quiet, relaxing retreat in the pines. We didn't get a chance to use the community membership, but those amenities are icing on the cake for families with kids, offering swimming, hiking, etc. If you are looking for a wonderful mountain getaway, it doesn't get any better than this!"

  • Almost reluctant to share this gem!

"First is Debra, the owner/host. She was very responsive and provided all the information before I even needed it. Terrific. As I approached the cabin, I was thrilled with the panoramic view of the valley from the southern slope. While there are trees all around, the grade means a great view from the deck on the front and side. For more privacy, there is a back deck below the treeline. The house is cozy, and perfect for a small family or a couple. Nice open layout with tall ceilings so you don't feel cramped. The main floor bedroom has a day bed with trundle. Linens were nice. If there's a second couple, you'll have to do the "I Love Lucy" thing and sleep in separate beds. There is a spiral staircase to the upstairs bedroom. Of note is that it's a queen size bed, not king. But this works for me. Great shower. Regarding cozy...the kitchen. Top quality appliances. Somehow everything I needed was there. For its size, it worked really well. I was impressed with the stove, the BBQ, etc. We were there in summer to escape the heat. Last minute and worked well. Looking forward to going back without the kids for a quiet romantic weekend. There were passes to get to the clubhouse. Went swimming, picked up a toothbrush, went to a restaurant. Chose not to walk to the town center, but could have. Nice part is that we didn't spend a lot of our time in the car once we arrived."

  • Clean, cozy, well-kept, and peaceful!

"Just the sort of refuge needed for a quick recharge before returning to city life! Wifi is a little on the slow side, but still allowed for email and general internet access. Great views of the sunset and nighttime stargazing from the upper balcony, and plenty of trees and woodland creatures to admire, including hummingbirds, bats, and the occasional glimpse of deer and bears. Perfect location and views for the Perseid meteor shower. Very comprehensive collection of VHS & DVD movies, from older Disney classics to newer hits. The house was clean, listing description accurate, and owners were very responsive. We didn't make use of local restaurants, preferring to cook for ourselves, but would recommend this rental home to others."
