  • Utopia!

"Awesome stay! Everything you thought you would have to run out and by right always was provided! I mean from coffee to TP! Baggies, tin foil, key code set up for the door. Tim had us hooked up fat. My only fear is when I go back to the area, someone else will have their head on my pillow! TWO THUMBS UP!"

  • Tons of Charm and Nostalgia!

"My friends and family and I found ourselves delighted and amazed the moment we entered this charming, historic Hollywood bungalow. One guest, who is a professional real estate stager and artist, was especially impressed with the owners' ability to retain the home's 1920's, 30's, and 40's historic flavor while, at the same time, creating functional use of space and adding attractive contemporary conveniences. One of my favorite additions is the beautiful kitchen island, complete with stove top, oven, microwave drawer, storage, and ample counter space. I'm always pleased to see a window over the kitchen sink. The one in this home enjoys a view of the backyard patio and gorgeous succulent garden, where we gathered for wine and appetizers before attending a play. In the evening, the strings of lights attached to the umbrellas make the patio especially inviting. Our group of seven returned to the bungalow after the play. Everyone preferred calling Uber Eats and dining in so we could spend as much time in our charming temporary home as possible. The time passed so quickly as we wined and dined while listening to a Frank Sinatra album on the turntable. Those few hours felt magical and nostalgic. A contribution to the Hollywood nostalgia is a stylized Marilyn Monroe print above the fireplace. Its colors reflect the cheerful and vibrant complementary color scheme found throughout the home. Another nostalgic feature: picture rail moulding that displays old photos of Hollywood's greatest -- members of the "Rat Pack" and more. Only three of us stayed the night. We all enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep. The bedding was luxurious, and although the area is densely populated, none of us noticed any disturbing noise. Warning...one downside to staying here: You won't want to leave, thanks to the creativity and hospitality of Laura and her fiancé. They transformed a nearly 100 year-old home with only 900 square feet into a bright, cheerful, functional, and comfortable home away from home. Laura couldn't have been more genial and helpful. I appreciate her effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. We'll be back! Thank you!"

  • Close to the beach and quiet

"Great location just one block from the beach and coffee, food etc. Not on a major street, so very quiet. Friendly downstairs neighbor. Clean and spacious. Would stay again."
