  • Perfect Location

    "Property grounds were well kept. Unit occupied a little outdated, easily maintained and comfortable. The concrete walking trail (called the Strand and runs from Redondo Beach to Malibu) was 100' away. Great restaurants, pier, shopping, cleaners. Super location to have spent about 40 days in Jan-Feb 2017. Did I mention the great view from unit grounds - beautiful sunsets! Remarkable little-used swimming pools and hot tubs. Unit owner extremely accommodating."

  • Great house with superb location

    "This is a high-end, three level, newish home- one block behind Main street in the older and nicest part of Santa Monica. You can't beat the location for being in a highly-desirable area with lots of restaurants, shops and daily events around the corner; as well as its proximity to the beach which is only a 5 minute walk. Neighborhood is a mix of owner-occupied homes- both contemporary and historic with typical three story older, but well-kept apt. buildings infilled throughout. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. This property is essentially located equidistant from both the Santa Monica Pier and the Venice Boardwalk with good access to the I-10 and the PCH depending on where you are headed. We slept 5 of us comfortably throughout the house- with room for more if we had needed. Ground level has a nice back bedroom with access to a small, private yard. A Jack and Jill bath attaches to a smaller study/ bedroom with a sleeper sofa that was perfect for one of our teenage sons. Middle level is airy with open-plan and has the Master Suite, Main living area and a really spectacular Kitchen with a commercial range and massive island where we found ourselves cooking and eating the majority of our meals. Upstairs is an open mezzanine/ loft with a couple of sofas and access to a really nice roof deck with a sectional sofa which we also used everyday and every evening. Property was clean and all photos and amenities in the listing were as described. No surprises. Everything needed for your stay in there and in working-order. Owner is highly-responsive and lives nearby. He went above and beyond what one would normally expect to make our stay as hassle-free and as enjoyable as possible. As an example of exemplary customer service, when one of our sons, asked the owner where he could air-up the basketball; instead of telling us where we could buy an air-pump ourselves, a new one was waiting for him on the island several hours later after we returned from the beach. Positives are too numerous to mention. Only caveat would be that this is adjacent to an established Pre-School which has the expected flux of kids, moms and short-term traffic chaos around 9 AM and again around 3 PM. Kids are definitely active throughout the day- but for us, with 3 of our own, it was a non-issue. I would highly-recommend this property to anyone."

  • Convenient Location, Spacious Apartment, Caring Host

    "We stayed in this apartment in late July 2016 for one week. It was convenient to the heart of Hollywood, two blocks off of Sunset Avenue, near restaurants and the Arclight Movie Theater, the 110, Cuahuenga Blvd., movie studios and museums, Dodger Stadium and downtown. It is a spacious apartment with a full kitchen -- we only fixed breakfast in, but could have done other meals. A small plumbing issue was rectified to our satisfaction by Tim, his able assistant, Tom, and the building owner. It is located across the street from a LAPD precinct and fire department facility, but it was not extraordinarily noisy, i.e., sirens during the night. The cross street is residential with nicely landscaped yards and homes. The apartment is on the second floor of a two-story building without an elevator. Off-street parking is provided, which is important in LA. Tim and Tom were gracious and caring hosts."

  • Spacious, convenient yet private

    "This house was the perfect house when I rented it for a family Thanksgiving. My family lives in SoCal and we rented the house so that we had a place to stay while visiting. Somehow Thanksgiving was cooked at the rental house and the kitchen served our meal perfectly. It turned out to be a great meeting point and the house is so comfortable and within walking distance to Abbot Kinney shopping and restaurants. Rebecca, our host, was very responsive in the initial inquiry for the house as I was trying to explain what we were doing at the rental house. We had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place."
