  • Wonderful Relaxing trip at Tides Turn

"We stayed at Tides Turn while attending a family wedding nearby and the property was lovely. Wonderful views, lovely home with comfortable surroundings and a beach like atmosphere. Sitting in the hot tub while enjoying the scenery was a real treat. Mendocino and Ft. Bragg are just up the road. Several farmers markets in the area on the weekends. We enjoyed a great meal at the Little River Inn. Can't wait to come back to Tides Turn!"

  • An incredible setting for a vacation home!

"Our family travelled from NYC, San Jose, and Magalia, CA to meet at The Tidepool house for a week of rest and relaxation. The house is situated on a bluff with an amazing view of the cove, the ocean, and awesome sunsets. We were all pleased to have the first 3 days fog filled as we had all come from steamy-hot locations, but when the sun broke out and stayed out for the rest of our time we were thrilled. Gorgeous weather propelled us to do lots of walking, exploring, and swimming. The sun room and living room give you every opportunity to just gaze out to sea, or check out the abundant wildlife. We saw mule deer and their kids, sea lions, many different raptors, quail, and the highlight - a red fox and her two pups. Close enough to go out to dinner or explore neighboring towns, and private enough to feel like you are the only ones around. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and recommend this place highly."

  • Artful Inland Property

"What you 'll find here: a very cozy, tasteful home with custom woodworking and delightful ceramic art made by the hosts; fresh cut flowers; a nice deep tub and large bathroom; comfy bed with TV/DVD player; quiet picnic area and lovely garden; lots of information on local activities; hiking into Russian Gulch park from the property; and very gracious, accommodating hosts. What you won't find: pages and pages of rules (don't do this, don't so that); cell reception (there is a land line phone though); and views of the ocean (it's three miles inland). A very tasteful place that offers a very good value. I can see why pets aren't allowed with the nice woodwork and furnishings, though I did miss my doggies, it was good to take a break from caring for them. The location is adjacent to the property owners house, which normally I don't really like but in this case, was a plus, because Bob and Diane are good people and nice to have nearby. The location does require driving out a few miles to local attractions or to get to the ocean. It made for a very nice getaway for R & R and a base to explore the coast."

  • Restful Vacation

"The cabin was so sweet and beautifully situated. We had a very restful & enjoyable stay. We were even privileged to see a pod of dolphins come into the bay and put on a show before us!"
