"The Tidepool property is exactly as advertised. The place is clean, nice furnishings, lots of space, tv's and internet work great. The owner was instantly available when we called, and was always helpful. The view is absolutely incredible and we enjoyed watching the harbor seals, turkey vultures, seagulls, osprey, and assorted other songbirds. We heard an owl, but never saw him. But be aware that fog can roll in at the drop of a hat and then it's like your curtains are closed...but that's OK too. The bedrooms are comfortable, the newer walk-in shower is super nice. My adult kids really enjoyed the hot tub. There's a lot to do and see in the stretch between Tidepool (Albion), Mendocino and Fort Bragg. For me, the only drawback was being so high on a bluff above the ocean, I couldn't hear the sound of the waves from the loft bedroom. But I admit I don't have the best hearing in the world, either. Loved the little campground cafe that's practically across the street, but wish we'd known they were closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Kitchen - lots and lots of dishes and utensils. Bring plastic cups for kids, everything is glass and stoneware. Stocked with plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc. which was greatly appreciated. The refrigerator and pantry were completely bare except for some seasonings and tea bags. Prepare to bring or purchase everything else. Some of the appliances have seen better days, and were tricky to work with. I'm being very picky, but I put a lot of stake in reviews and want potential renters to know as much as possible. Tip - try the Candy Cap Mushroom ice cream at Frankie's Pizza in Mendocino...it tastes like butter-brickle. Their pizza is also authentically Italian and delicious. Also, we found a short, but incredible hike, ending at the bottom of a very cool waterfall. But shhhhh, it's secret. To find directions, google secret mendocino waterfall."
