  • Wonderful home with everything you could possible want to enjoy time with friends and family.

"We had 5 couples and rented the hidden haven house. We each had our own bedroom and our own bathroom for a privacy. The house was big enough for all of us to gather in the kitchen or the living room but also we could find little areas to sit and relax. There were patios on each side of the house to enjoy the sun or the shade. You felt completely removed from the town below with all the wonderful vegetation surrounding the property. The owner was a joy to work with stocked the house with all the comforts of home. We cooked at the house instead of eating out and the kitchen had everything and more to make whatever we wanted. We wish we could have stayed longer and look forward to returning to the house in the future."

  • Excellent Location...But Not Quiet

"This 2 bedroom condo has pluses and minuses: Pros: Very comfortable and cozy Nice bay view Very secure building No one above Modern kitchen Gas fireplace which works as a heater Great restaurant below...mostly Japanese cuisine Very well located in Eureka's Old Town District with great restaurants and shops Comfortable beds Management company is responsive Reserved parking space Fairly large flat screen TV with cable We are very grateful we were allowed to keep our "grand-dog" with us. Cons: Very slow Internet For us, it was noisy at various times during the day and night......delivery trucks during the day to the ice cream shop and restaurant below. They take delivery right below the condo and trucks park under the windows and leave their engines running. At night the ice cream shop and restaurant move their tables across the floor to clean and back again. Almost constant from 8:00 - 9:30 or 10:00 PM. Ice cream shop workers keep their radio on at night at a volume we could hear in both bedrooms and living room. That being said....we rented for a month during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. We were not gone site-seeing during the day as many guests normally would be. And, the sound may not be bothersome to many. We stayed in another unit in the complex, unit R-5 (I think) and had none of the above mentioned noises....but it is a 1 bedroom unit. I wish I could give Bayfront One unit R-1 a 5 star....but I just can't."

  • Our home for a week

"Looking for a place in Northern California, the two of us were happy and satisfied as we settled in here. Some days we left to explore the redwoods, coasts, towns, and shops. Other days we stayed nearby to relax, enjoying local restaurants, galleries, and museums, taking a boat trip, shopping the Tuesday market, and going to the theater. Aways the condo was a comfortable and well equipped home base. The Old Town location is the best area to stay in Eureka. You can choose this with confidence in what you are getting.""

  • A great escape with family.

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Mid Centry Waterfront Home was perfect for my family. The house and property were just beautiful! It was so nice being right on the beach at the bay. We would cookout on the grill and start a fire by the beach and just relax after running around. YOU WILL NEED MOSQUITO SPRAY!!! A small price to pay for this wonderful place. The manager Jessie helped me out when we needed new towels and was extremely friendly. This place was a great base camp for the redwoods and the ocean. I wouldn't rate Eureka as my favorite town, but Arcata that is close by had an AWESOME Saturday Market. Of course the house was across the bay from Eureka and was secluded. LOVED LOVED LOVED this place! You can tell a lot of pride is taken with this place, and very reasonable. I hope to go back!"
