  • Great Diamond in the Rough!

"We chose this home specifically because dogs are allowed and because of the fully fenced yard. Being able to stay at a home away from home with our dogs is a huge benefit for us as our pups are our family. The home is perfect for our getaway to the Redwoods. Yes, the location is a bit strange but, everyone we met was very friendly. We felt safe and comfortable each night. The "beach" access is across the way and down a path that leads to a section of beach that rarely had more than 1 other family there. There was a lot of seaweed but, the dogs didn't care ; they played and swam to their hearts content. We traveled to the Avenue of the Giants with the pups and had a great time. The location of this house is great for that adventure, only about 20 minutes from the North Entrance. The town has everything you could need and is very welcoming. The house had everything we needed and was nice and clean. Thank you, we will be back!"

  • Outstanding home!

"This home has been totally remodeled and provided a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The owner, Joe, was available if we needed him and proactively reached out when a cable was cut causing network issues. I definitely recommend this home and look forward to staying there again!"

  • Excellent Location...But Not Quiet

"This 2 bedroom condo has pluses and minuses: Pros: Very comfortable and cozy Nice bay view Very secure building No one above Modern kitchen Gas fireplace which works as a heater Great restaurant below...mostly Japanese cuisine Very well located in Eureka's Old Town District with great restaurants and shops Comfortable beds Management company is responsive Reserved parking space Fairly large flat screen TV with cable We are very grateful we were allowed to keep our "grand-dog" with us. Cons: Very slow Internet For us, it was noisy at various times during the day and night......delivery trucks during the day to the ice cream shop and restaurant below. They take delivery right below the condo and trucks park under the windows and leave their engines running. At night the ice cream shop and restaurant move their tables across the floor to clean and back again. Almost constant from 8:00 - 9:30 or 10:00 PM. Ice cream shop workers keep their radio on at night at a volume we could hear in both bedrooms and living room. That being said....we rented for a month during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. We were not gone site-seeing during the day as many guests normally would be. And, the sound may not be bothersome to many. We stayed in another unit in the complex, unit R-5 (I think) and had none of the above mentioned noises....but it is a 1 bedroom unit. I wish I could give Bayfront One unit R-1 a 5 star....but I just can't."

  • Sweet house!

"This is a sweet 2 bdrm 2 bath bungalow, very comfortable, very good price. Especially nice is the 50's kitchen and the automatic fireplace. Beds are very comfortable and it is a quiet neighborhood close to shopping, etc. We loved staying here and will definitely stay again. (A couple of functional problems but I am sure they have been fixed by now!)"
